Rated 5 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.Rated 5 out of 5 by FenlandCyclist Bright enough for daytime use! I bought an earlier version of this light, which I've used for nearly a year. I liked it so much we then bought another for my wife's bike, which we've been using throughout this winter. The version offered here (V2) only differs from the V1 in having fewer modes. The three modes are: both lights on, just one light on, and both flashing. The flashing mode gives a random interrupted pattern. I prefer the steady flashing pulse available on the V1, but it's a very minor quibble. These lights are very bright. We use them with rechargeable batteries, which makes it affordable to run in daytime - and it gets you seen! At night it's plenty bright enough for approaching cars to respect your road space. The clips supplied give the option of seat stem or pannier rack stay mounting. The seat stem fixture is rock solid, and you can adjust the angle of the light too. The pannier option needs a bit of taping to firm it up enough to prevent it twisting, but that's down to the narrowness of the pannier rack stay really. I bought the excellent 'Moon' pannier fixing bracket, which mounts onto the flat panel at the rear of my wife's pannier rack which I recommend if you have such a pannier rack and can't fix to the seat stem for some reason, such as using a saddlebag. Whatever mount used, the light clips onto the bracket very firmly, and stays secure. Removing and replacing the rear cover is a bit awkward at first and requires some dexterity of the thumbs. A few hints: 1. Disregard the review by one user on 'Amazon' who said that rechargeables can't be used. 2. Take care not to catch the rubber seal when replacing the back cover. 3. To enhance waterproofing, replace the back cover so that the on/off switch is at the base of the light. We've not been caught out in very wet conditions, so can't comment about waterproofness, but there's a seal around the lens and the switch is rubber covered, so the chances are that it should stand a bit of rain. This is a good, serious bit of kit, and represents excellent value. 23 January 20161-1 of 1
