Pure Bike Grease 100g is rated out of 5 by 11.Rated 1 out of 5 by dazza0007 from Do not use As the other person commented. I reserviced my hub and this stuff has dried on all the surfaces, would not come off with degreaser, I had to scrape off with a screwdriver completely ruined my hub. It is nice to save the planet, but it needs to work.Date published: 2017-04-10Rated 1 out of 5 by Harpoonio from Do not buy this product Watery rubbish. I just reserviced my bearings after not very long and this stuff had turned to glue. Had to scrape it out with a screwdriver. Utterly awful. Smells nice, but don't waste your money. Buy some propper grease.Date published: 2016-05-26Rated 1 out of 5 by cambeltsnapped from Pure rubish This grease is rubish! It has the texture and smell of hand cleaner. Is soon as I opened it, I had my doubts about it being any good. As a test I applied it to the 15mm q lock bolt through on my suntour fork. A month later, I went to remove the front wheel only to find the bolt through part sized in the wheel hub. Do not use this grease, infact any of the pure range, it corrodes things and dose not even lubricant.Date published: 2015-08-17Rated 5 out of 5 by maninthemoon from Bearing I Bought this product purely because my local store didn't have any other grease, I have to say that at first I wasn't impressed with the texture of this grease it does come across as runny but I used the to rebuild an old pair of flat peddles that had started to creak on my Down hill bike, after stripping out all the old bearing and grease and rebuild using this grease the creaking had gone! it is thin, but at the same time it is greasy If you put a pea size amount in you hands and rub it in, your hands will soon become greasy, then try putting in under the tap! water runs off which the good thing about this grease, It doesn't get all clumpy like traditional grease. I like it, and it smells good too, and its Eco Friendly.. I would buy it againDate published: 2015-07-03Rated 4 out of 5 by Harness from my bike I have had endless fun on my bike even been race by a bus. I am a fat black lady who said I could race a bus the driver must know something I don’t So my review again I must praise your bike staff at Alperton for their support and the great 1.5hrs talk on the Wednesday evening. I am still a bite wobbly on my bike other road uses do not want to share the road, but I go forward. I would like a very loud horn at present I am shouting at people who have not seen me as large as I am. Your staffs have always been polite extremely helpful and fun to talk to. So my overall review Out standingDate published: 2015-06-11Rated 1 out of 5 by Musa70 from Terrible product I'm amazed there are any positive reviews because this stuff is awful. It is thin and watery and simply doesn't work! I used it on my wheels and it has left a sticky, oily residue that ruined the bearings and was incredibly difficult to remove from the hubs. I'm all for Eco friendly products but they have to do the job and this clearly does not.Date published: 2015-03-22Rated 1 out of 5 by ehodges72 from Purely awful grease I don't write review often but I feel I really need to on this one. I bought the product mainly because it is made of all natural ingredients, but after actually using it i'd rather a petroleum based grease anyway. This grease is awful, and I am returning it to get some non eco-friendly stuff that actually works. So why is it awful?: Firstly its exceptionally thin, I do not trust it to work for any length of time on my headset, bottom bracket or indeed anywhere that needs grease. It has separated into an oil of some kind and, what only can be described as, a hand cream like substance. With it being so thin I also do not trust it to 'stick' for some time and keep the water from permeating in, I can see me replacing this grease frequently if I were to use it permanently. Finally the cost, its fairly expensive considering 'natural' ingredients are easier to obtain than anything based on crude oil! It's not all bad, it smells good and is a nice yellow colour. I'm going back to the standard lithium based grease. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS GARBAGE!Date published: 2015-01-14Rated 4 out of 5 by Ash82 from This product is good, clean and smooth . I purchased this pure grease to prepare my bike for winter. I like that it is a natural product as we are all trying to be a little organic here and there. This is a clean grease and applies smoothly with great coverage with just a little used. It also has a good seal and no work shop smell.Date published: 2014-11-12
