Exodus Roof Mount Cycle Carrier 2015 is rated out of 5 by 9.Rated 3 out of 5 by Petey55 from Not bad kit The fitting to the roof bars is a bit of a faff first time but readily do-able if you follow the instructions. Because it takes 10-15 mins to get on and off there is a temptation to leave it on permanently when not in use which isn't good for fuel economy. If left on when not in use need to secure the end cap which can slide off and get lost. In use holds the bike very securely and is excellent in that respect. The soft hold clamp respects the bike frame. Only reservation is that it takes some wrangling to get the bike in position and the clamp on - def a two man job.Date published: 2016-11-08Rated 5 out of 5 by Daz771 from Worth the money These bike racks are brilliant they come with both selection of fittings either for a t bar fitting (aero bars or wing bars) and very well built for all other roof bars. The instructions are very simple to follow and only take 5 minutes too fit. They come with two keys for the locks that are fitted both the same code. I bought two sets of these and both sets had the same code (which is handy but at the same time a bad idea for security). The only thing that I don't agree with is that the key is stored in the lock while it is on the shelf and during delivery (this is asking for trouble). I highly recommend these, I have two full sized mountain bikes that are very stable on this and don't worry about them while travelling on a motorways.Date published: 2016-09-09Rated 4 out of 5 by Zacman from Pleasantly surprised I have used this twice now and it seems ok. My only concern is once it's clamped you can wobble the bike from side to side which worries me a little, but after transportation is complete the bike hasn't moved at all. Just a confidence thing I guess (hope). The only thing I can really slate is the fact I bought 2 of these and the security key fits both!!! Cmon..... Really!!!. Other than that quite pleased.Date published: 2016-08-08Rated 1 out of 5 by FreddyP1 from poor on all counts I got this for my wife's bike in a bit of a rush, which is unlike me. It is a pain in the neck to fit on the roof bars and to secure the bike. I have a Thule pro ride for my bike which take less than 1 minute to fix onto bars and the same to fit my bike. Since getting this rack I have had to buy a wheel strap and two ends as they have fallen off twice. On one occasion on the way to a ride with my brother in law his bike fell off the rack. It rocks from side to side which is very disconcerting when traveling at speed or turning a corner. Do not buy if you can afford the extra £30 for a better rack.Date published: 2016-06-19Rated 3 out of 5 by Colshark from Bike size. The upright locking arm is not long enough to reach the down tube of my lapierre zesty. The front wheel was almost hanging over the front of the rack just to get the locking arm to fit comfortably. Also, one of the T bolts that holds the rack to the roof bars snapped resulting in me almost loosing my bike !! Needless to say, I got a refund.Date published: 2016-06-15Rated 5 out of 5 by Ajd01tvr from Great kit Anyone with prudence and attention can have this fitted in 30 minutes. Clear instructions, solid bit of kit which transports my carbon bike. Great value for money.Date published: 2016-05-24Rated 4 out of 5 by Paul335 from Open Minded With only one negative review I purchased two of these racks with caution after reading what was written........thankfully no issues with either rack, bolts and instructions were all fine and everything fitted onto the Exodus Roof bars without any problem. Test Run with my sons bike was fine, up and down Country lanes with bumps and jumps and everything stayed tightly in place. It does take some time to set the Rack to a specific bike size/type......but youd only need to do this once and time and experience will make the process easier over time. One slight moan, two types of wheel strap are supplied, you get two of one wheel strap and only one of the other (two for the front wheel and one for the rear wheel).....supplying two of each would make life a lot easier for a rack thats placed on the drivers side of the car - in my case i bought two racks -, the closing straps are on the wrong side meaning its harder to tension the second bike.....if you had an additional strap you could reverse them and have the straps on the outside!!! For this i'll use an additional bike strap just in case!!Date published: 2015-12-29Rated 1 out of 5 by Macca73 from Hard work, fiddly, poor quality Putting this rack onto my car was a nightmare. One of the bolts sheared off during installation, there were no replacement bolts on offer. I had to use a hacksaw to cut down another bolt. The bolts then loosened and fell off during the journey (scared to tighten them too much incase they sheared off. I assume I can never use this product again unless i find the same bolts somewhere. Just increadibly user unfriendly.Date published: 2015-08-03
