Boardman Mountain Bike Pro Hardtail 29erMBUK gives the Boardman Pro 29er 4/5 Stars!
"The Boardman Pro 29er has a spec that’s a marvel at the price. A transmission based around Shimano’s peerless Deore and XT group set is more than you could reasonably expect at this price. Schwalbe treads on Mavic rims give a good blend of fast-rolling pace and all-weather grip. The carbon seat post is an easy-to-miss bonus, shaving some weight and adding a dose of vibration absorbing comfort."

MBR, Hardtail of the Year - £1000 category, "Not only is it the lightest on test, but the Pro 29er also possesses both lateral stiffness and vertical compliance. Basically it out-accelerates the rest, whilst simultaneously ironing out trail buzz like nothing else. That's an impressive trick to master." Rated 9/10.

ReviewsBoardman Mountain Bike Pro Hardtail 29er 2014 39 39Boardman 29er Pro Having always avoided mainstream brands in the past, I was drawn to the Boardman Pro buy it's good spec and neat frame design...after owning and riding I'm very impressed with the package. Tight handling, good weight distribution and far from mainstream...if anything is a good or better than many more exotic rides. The only upgrade I would make would be XT shifters and XT brakes set...this just raises the spec to "superb", bought on offer makes this excellent value. 08 December 2014Great Purchase I got this bike for through my cycle to work scheme and is great for the money. Highly recommend it. One downside is that I would prefer riser handle bars but no biggy and the cables are not internally routed. Everything else is great and it won the 2014 bike of the year for the price bracket. 02 December 2014Boardman 29er Just got the bike and really impressed. Will compliment my cyclocross very well, bring on the mud and snow! I have taken the bike for a quick ride and it feels great, really impressed so far. 15 November 2014Great trail bike. This was a replacement bike, not a 1st choice but recommended. But actually an amazing bike for the money, some decent parts that easily soak up red routes on trails. The ease of riding over harsh terrain is a marked improvement, loving the 29er. 15 November 2014Excellent all round bike I've had this bike over a year now so had the opportunity to put some mile on it in all weathers and riding conditions. I am fairly new to mtb so have no real opinions or brand loyalty's. I have used it a lot for general XC where I live, numerous trips to Cannock Chase and the Peak District and can honestly say it has performed faultlessly. It fly's up hills and down fast flowing single track. The 29er format really works for hardtails, smoothing out the trails and maintains momentum effortlessly. Very impressed with the quality and standard of components, I have had no issues apart from the frame did suffer from cable rub but I bought a set of the rubber frame protectors and problem sorted. Front brakes pads have just worn and Nobby Nics are still going strong. During the summer I bought some Schwalbe Marathon touring tyres, which turns it into a hybred and saves the knobbly tyres for offroad stuff. This is an incredible mtb, at an amazing price, it has to be on your short list if you are in the market for a new hardtail, well done Boardman. 09 November 2014excellent bike. Upgraded from the brilliant Voodoo Aizan and cannot believe the difference between the two. Brakes are superb ,it turns quicker, lighter and gear changes are slick. Had to buy a shock pump (£20 at Halfords) to set it for my weight as forks bottomed out just lightly touching the brakes.set it to 140psi and now its brilliant! Service at the Stirling store excellent as always. 09 December 2014Boardman MTB Robust High performance Good looking Great ride feeling 04 October 2014WOW WOW WOW What an awesome bike. It just rolls and stops as it knows when too. Can't find any faults this bike at all. 03 October 2014
