EBCO UCL-10 Electric Bike - 46cm is rated out of 5 by 7.Rated 5 out of 5 by bustardflush from First impressions are very positive • nice bike to ride even without power • very comfortable ... backside-friendly saddle • not too heavy for an electrobike • brakes very effective • enough power assist to get me up local hills while still requiring a bit of effort on the steep ones • seems well designed and constructed • good solid rack (will take panniers), mudguards and chain guard - doesn't have lights • gears seem fine, though they are opposite operation to usual - i.e. twist forward to change down - feels odd • claimed to have 37 mile range in economy mode ... realistically I'd expect at least 20 miles in general use. There's a 2-year warranty on electrical components. Control panel is a bit fiddle and seems a bit tacky .. guess it's built down to a price. Good VFM all round with Halfords giving 20% off - down from £900 to £720. Very quick delivery and everything worked straight out of the box.Date published: 2016-08-22Rated 5 out of 5 by Weblettes from EBCO UCL-10 surprise retirement gift I bought this electric bike as a retirement gift for my wife who enjoys cycling, but has been complaining about the hills around where we live in recent years. We took it to a local park to allow her to get used to it but within 5 minutes we were off on a 14 mile route. She loves everything about it. In manual the gear change is very smooth, but under power it is tremendous. Build quality is superb. She hasn't fully sussed it out, but the only drawback is that it doesn't seem to be able to be switched from power back to manual without stoppingDate published: 2015-10-12Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Amazing introduction to e-biking I couldn't find one to test-drive so bought it "on spec". I am delighted with the design, quality and performance. I live in a hilly area (Malvern) and all the previously formidable hills are gone. As an "oldie" I could only average about 8mph on the flat-ish roads around home. Now I'm averaging over 12mph anywhere (SatNav readings). With Adie/Rayleigh wire baskets fitted front and rear the bike is proving to be a most capable workhorse for shopping while I'm unable to drive (but that's another story)Date published: 2015-08-21Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Great investment as I use it for work, saving money on travelling Wow absolutely fantastic, I love my bike well worth the money, It flies up hills without a problem, with no exertion from myself. A half hour bike ride on a normal bike take 15 minutes with the EBCO URL_10 Although a heavy bike to pick up, you do not feel this when your riding If I had one con it would be suspension as it makes it a very bumpy ride on north east roads, I would highly recommended this bike, or even better the next one up as it has suspensionDate published: 2015-08-20Rated 5 out of 5 by yihaa from Brilliant Biking Recently bought the Ebco UCL10 from Halfords and very pleased with the sales and after sale experience. The bike has made a difference to me as I can now keep up with my husband!Date published: 2015-08-20Rated 4 out of 5 by Jointer21 from Electric commute A well built bike that copes well with Derbyshires hills. Long term the cost of replacement batteries is a concern.Date published: 2015-06-11Rated 5 out of 5 by Nightmare100 from EBCO UCL-10 The EBCO UCL-10 is an excellent product. I charge it from solar power, so it costs nothing to run!Date published: 2015-05-01
