Oxygen S-cross Mtb Electric Bike 19in is rated out of 5 by 4.Rated 4 out of 5 by Clint1956 from Good Bike After my first e-bike turned out to be illegal in the UK (had a throttle allowing it to get to full speed without peddaling) i received a refund and paid the extra for this bike. Had it for a week now and done some good rides the faster you peddle the less assistance you get but at least you get a good work out if you want one.Peddaling really slowly will keep the motor running and if communting will be useful as no chance of sweating. Arrived fully and professionally made up. Just had to straighten the handlebars. Even the tyres were blown up. The box was enormous.I have marked it down because for a expensive bike i would have expected the seat to be more comfy it is rock hard and even with two layers of padding still hurts you know what. Very sore after doing 15 miles. My previous e-bike which only cost a third of this one had a lovely comfy seat. Will have to look into replacing the seat. I note other comments on various blogs say the same. Its the only thing that lets it down. There is a 10% gradient hill about three quarters of a mile long near me. I tested the bike out and it made mince meat out of the hill. Very impressed whereas my other ebike i was out of the saddle even with the assistance. I bought the 13amp battery and yes it does go the full 50 miles at least i was on target for that anyway. After 30 miles down to two bars. Distance will depend what mode you have it in. I did 30 miles on assist 4 to 6 in normal and still two bars left after the 30. Apart from the hard seat happy with my purchase and the service given by Halfords and their partner e bikes direct.Date published: 2017-11-23Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from mega bike Decided to purchase this bike for my 3mile commute to work. I went for the larger capacity battery. The extra boost is amazing for hills. The bike looks amazing and performs well off road. Unrestricting* the electric motor speed limiter boost makes for a much easier ride at higher speeds however does drain the battery faster. *nb uk law says maximum electric motor speed is 15mph, unrestricting it and using it on uk roads would be an offence! Higher motor assist should only be used on private land.Date published: 2017-09-22Rated 3 out of 5 by cramp10 from stopping power The specs say's hydrolic discs brackes but the close up picture display cable discs ?Date published: 2017-08-06Rated 4 out of 5 by Hillracer from Oxygen S cross bike Having not ridden or owned a bicycle for over 20 years I decided that this was a good way to go and honestly havnt been dissapointed yet. I was a bit concerned initially about the weight of the bike and the effect on just peddling arround with no battery assistance. It turns out though that its an absolute pleasure to peddle about on. The area where I live has some serious hills and getting home after a serious ride out was one of the reasons I opted for the battery assistance. Again it does exactly what it says on the box. easy to select how much assistance you want and off you go. The people that assembled the bike prior to delivery have obviously spent quite a bit of time getting everything tested and working properly too. Just popped the pedals on and tightened up the handlebars no other settings or adjustment required. Thanks guys. Very happy with the purchase.Date published: 2017-06-09
