Boardman Mountain Bike Pro Hardtail 29erMBUK gives the Boardman Pro 29er 4/5 Stars!
"The Boardman Pro 29er has a spec that’s a marvel at the price. A transmission based around Shimano’s peerless Deore and XT group set is more than you could reasonably expect at this price. Schwalbe treads on Mavic rims give a good blend of fast-rolling pace and all-weather grip. The carbon seat post is an easy-to-miss bonus, shaving some weight and adding a dose of vibration absorbing comfort."

MBR, Hardtail of the Year - £1000 category, "Not only is it the lightest on test, but the Pro 29er also possesses both lateral stiffness and vertical compliance. Basically it out-accelerates the rest, whilst simultaneously ironing out trail buzz like nothing else. That's an impressive trick to master." Rated 9/10.

Over 18 months of testing on some of Europe's toughest trails has resulted in a bike that is rewriting the rule book on how a 29er should ride, with the geometry honed to provide a bike that is both lively and hugely controllable - whilst still incorporating the superb rollover characteristics that 29ers have become renowned for across the globe.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 87 reviewers.Rated 5 out of 5 by berea End of the Line There's not many of these left but I was lucky enough to pick one up for around £670 (British Cycling membership gets you an extra 10% off). Lovely bike. 23 March 2016Rated 1 out of 5 by bluetrailevans1 BOARDMANPRO29ER hi there all to start off with this bike has really bad performance feels sluggish and like I'm on a pirate ship thats how bad it is. t6he brakes failed when heated of from my hardcore blue trail and cause me to ride off the trail onto the grass. also when i finally got around to doing some slighly harder trails my frame snapped on a weld took it back to halfords and they said its your fault and should of been riding more careful i was only riding blue trails! 25 January 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Skingo Fantastic!!!!!!! This is my first Mountain bike and I couldn't be more pleased. I done loads of homework and read all the reviews to make sure that I get the right bike to suit me. Having raced Road bikes for many years I found the reviews on-line and the advise from the guys at the Dudley store (Merry Hill) invaluable!! 29 February 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by NoviceXC Good XC ride Being a relative novice to XC I didn't think I'd be able to review the bike fairly. However, after just one weekend of riding out with two others on 26" bikes I can say that the bike (mainly the clown wheels) is quick! Up, down and on the flat with root strewn trails it was consistently quicker than similar riders on higher spec bikes. Group set is a good compromise with only the rear derailleur XT (with clutch) and the rest Deore. Only complaint is the riding position is very stretched out: great for uphill but lifting the front wheel over trail obstacles is a task. A dropper and a shorter stem should help and make it perfect for this novice. 09 February 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Jerry183 New Boardman Very happy with my new bike, it is awesome. The team in Harlow were very knowledgeable and helpful. 31 January 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Ian1327 extraordinary value Excellent kit yet again from Boardman. Nippy agile a wonderful bike..climbs as well as a squirrel 17 January 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Boardmanbee Cracking machine Exellent bike very smooth & fast. Frame looks stunning and smooth. Cant find better lighter bike with equal spec... xt. deore....carbon seat post!! shimano hydrolic disc brakes great feel and good stopping power. Wheels and tyres good rolling resistance with great grip.. 17 January 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Verified Reviewer Quality Bike, superb service The bike technicians at the Bath store did a wonderful job in prepping my new bike, getting it ready at my convenience. The bike itself seems well constructed and once I adjusted to the size of the wheels and frame (I'm a short ar5e) proved to be very comfortable to ride, easy to control at speed and in tight corners. It is early days yet, I've only done about 100 miles across country, but all in all I am pleased with my purchase and the level of service from the guys at the Bath store. 16 January 2016
