Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving my new bike I bought this to replace my 20 year old mountain bike which i'd been using for my work commute. The difference that it's made in my times on Strava is incredible. Very very happy with this bike. The only issue I have is trying to get used to strapping my feet in to the peddles, I am tempted to remove the straps completely.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great all rounder Great frame feels lovely and responsive without being overly stiff, responds well to inputs from the handlebars and quick off the mark, slightly under geared and the front mech grinds but this will be easily remedied with a new one. Disk brakes lack a bit of bite initially but this is just personal preference. I like them to be very sharp other people hate this. Handlebar grips are too thin for me but can easily be fixed. Overall feels very nice and the welding on the frame looks great, very pleased with the bike as a run around and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick commute and everyday bike.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Hybrid I have ridden Really good bike, nice to ride and look at. Quick on the flat and pretty good on hills as well. Unfortunately the small gripes what dont get it a five are as follows, the pedals which are cheap and plastic and the handlebar grips which hurt my hands even with gloves after a few miles. Asides from that, cant fault it. Hopefully will last a good few years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Recreational Bike I found the overall build quality is excellent, although can't understand why it comes with cheap peddles, I gather they believe the purchaser will invest in proper pedals. It was easy to assemble. I have done some 50 miles on it and the gear changes were very slick, no adjustments necessary. The brakes are very capable. I find the seats a bit hard for me, but again an easy mod. The bike eats up the miles compared to my MBX on the flat sections, The gears ratios are very good, but where I live is very hilly so I would have preferred a slightly lower ratios, but not enough to bother changing the stock set-up. Overall very pleased with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boardman Hybrid Comp Bike I purchased this bike from Halfords just 2 weeks ago and I am absolutely delighted with it. I chose it because I needed a bike to bridge the gap between my Road Bike on which I do regular club rides and an old mountain bike which I use on holidays and for leisure use. The hybrid seemed like the solution and it does the job perfectly. I am riding it when I accompany my wife on 20-25 mile rides around our local area and it is perfect for the job (she too has a hybrid). The bike is very responsive, brakes and gears work really well and it was well set up before purchase. I really cannot say a bad word about it. Congratulations Boardman and of course Halfords!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike, fantastic value as I got a discount, and the service at Cycle Republic Euston was excellent - great staff Staff went out of their way to help - knew what they were talking about.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Shocking gears Bought this bike in Ireland to use as a commuter to work. After twice returning it to get the gears tuned properly, the store eventually gave me a new bike, stating that they couldn't fix the problem. The problem seems to be that the front derailleur is not Shimano, rather a cheap alternative that cannot be set up properly. I'd expect one or two gears where the chain is rubbing the derailleur, but six out of eighteen is unacceptable. The new bike they gave me is absolutely no different to the first. I e-mailed Boardman, don't know why really, but got no reply. I'm not confident enough to go at the gears myself. The Halfords staff were lovely, but i'd have to question their abilities with mechanical bike work. I don't want to have to fork out more money to get an independent bike mechanic to fix the issue. This is a six hundred euro bike in Ireland. The gears should work. Disappointing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great cycle, lightweight, fast, value for money. Ordered online, and collected from local store, was a display cycle,as didn't have my size in stock, guy in halforde set it all up,cycled home, and noticed the front wheel is a bit buckled ,not true, rubbing against disc brake,so will need to take it back for refund,or a new wheel, great bike, light and fast, but pedals not to my liking, cant seem to get my feet in them when cycling correctly, used to ones without straps/covers,not gappy with bike as front wheel should have been sorted before being handed over to me,otherwise a good bike.
