Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 28 reviewers.Rated 5 out of 5 by JohnB135 Good traditional men's bike Have not had a bike for many years but wanted to do some leisure cycling and this bike proved a good choice. It comes with what I would regard as all the basics (like mudguards and a pannier rack) which seem to be missing from most bikes nowadays. It seems well built and I like the slight backward angling of the handlebars and the contours of the handgrips. This gives a comfortable riding position. I was a little skeptical of needing 21 gears but have quickly got used to the system and it does help cope with differing gradients easily. 29 May 2016Rated 1 out of 5 by ClFlAl Goo bike and value I would recommend this product especially to the people with low back pain. This bike is designed to give the best position when cycling, no numbness on your arms or legs. We are using this bike for evening cycling and we found it very good, easy to ride, changing gears very efficient and the overall quality good for the price we've paid. 09 June 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Dezzaw58 Nice bike Had this bike since new year 2016. Done approx 600 miles and just finished the C2C with no problem. Just had to change brake blocks. Excellent bike 09 April 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by Bdunn4 Very good value Have had to put away my mountain bike and revert to a traditional sit up and beg setup, after looking at more sites and options than I thought possible I settled on the Raleigh Loxley, looks good, decent amount of kit and a very comfortable ride. It doesn't make my hands go numb with pressure on my wrists so all good. Only reason I haven't given it five stars is because when I adjusted the seat and handlebar height the Matt paint finish in these stems scratched off straight away, so not enough thought put into that design feature, but not such a big deal. 18 March 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by OldDavy "on your bike old man!" At 65 it has been difficult to find exercise that is motivating, fun safe and makes you sweat a bit. The bike is ideal for my joints, heart and lungs, in one month I have lost 2 kilos and feel great. So get on your bike old man and young hipsters as well. The Loxley has proven to be ideal for road and not so rough off road riding 13 March 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by Ted3 Great bike We had already purchased the ladies version 18 months ago,and we were so pleased with it, that I decided to buy one for myself. Apart from lights, it comes with everything you could wish for. The rack is sturdy and takes panniers, and the gears are very easy to select. A really nice bike. 27 February 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Jimsss Solid commuting bike There are so many bikes to choose from, and unless you have some particular points to aim for it is very hard to make a decision. I was limited by the availability of shops, hence Halfords, and I explicitly wanted a hybrid bike without front suspension, designed for comfort primarily, but with decent build quality. This ticks all the boxes. The handlebars, though an initial selling point for me, do feel a little less safe than flat ones, but it has held up well for over 6 months, with minimal maintenance. Good quality, comfortable commuter bike. 06 January 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by NickelBlue After having it 3 months I have had this bike for 3 months and ride it roughly 40-50 miles a week. This involves London roads (potholes included), designated cycle paths (gravel) and flat off road in a park. It was my 1st commuting bike and I bought it as a trial, to see if I enjoyed it, riding 11 miles a day, several times a week in mixed weathers. I have to say that, for the money, it is great and worth every penny. It is strong, reliable and robust, with easy gear changing. It is quite heavy and not a Concorde within the cycle world but these points do not detract from the fact that I would highly recommend it. Yes, more expensive bikes are lighter (and thus quicker) but for the price, it is an excellent and reliable entry level model for the 'average' commuter who likes to cycle along a river bank as well as road.. 02 November 2015
