Carrera Vengeance E Mens Electric Mountain Bike - 16", 18", 20" Frames is rated out of 5 by 19.Rated 4 out of 5 by Veze from Crossfire Its not vengance it crossfire its a good bike but does cut out randomlyDate published: 2018-03-20Rated 1 out of 5 by Anteater1 from Carrera vengeance Bought this bike, only 4 months ago. Nothing but problems, first battery went then motor cutting out and not working, now it won’t work at all.took it back asked for a replacement,or my money back.they stead no they would repair it,I don’t want a bike that’s been faulty, you never know what will go wrong.where do I stand...Date published: 2018-03-19Rated 5 out of 5 by Whitman from Wow , what a fantastic bike I bought this bike because I started to struggle with a normal bike , ( i am nearly 60 ) hills no problem now , you get to a bit of an incline and the motor kicks in , you still have to pedal , but you don’t struggle any more , just done nearly 25 miles on the second light all the wAy , and the battery is still showing full , it might only have 8 gears , but that is plenty when you have got a battery to help you along , love the bike , Only down side to it ,,,, saddle takes a bit getting use to ,, bit hard ,,,, not encounted a flat tyre yet ,, but to take the back wheel of , you need a 19 ml spanner ,, which is a bit bulky to keep in your saddle bag ,,, otherwise a fantastic bikeDate published: 2018-02-16Rated 5 out of 5 by Ha55an from Nice Bike is really nice. I have started using this bike daily to go to work and back and already i am seeing money gathering up, i will be sellling my car. Top quality bike and a joy to ride. The only thing i would suggest is if you dont know anything about maintaining a bike do a bit of research on it, i had halfords build my bike. They seemed to have rushed the build. The wheels were brushing against the break pads, the break handle were loose, the derailer needed re adjusting, the chain snapped, the battery adapter was faulty and then the pedal asist stopped working on the way to work! so had to pedal 25kg of weight for a mile. Went in and out of halfords with one problem after the other, this was only 2 weeks in. They only manged to sort the snapped chain and replace the charger. This had to be done by booking the bike in, which left me with no bike for a few days because they dont have these parts in stock. I bought my own tools whacked on youtube and sorted everything else out.Date published: 2018-01-13Rated 1 out of 5 by Ruggerbugger from Great until it stopped working I got this over the crossfire due to the cut out issues it and the vulcan have. Bought in Nov 17 been charged 6 times total of around 50 miles and now doesn't work at all. Very heavy but good value over the other two. Been using it for a 1km commute to work with a very steep hill at the end for 150m. When the bike worked it was great but it had a ridiculously low range right from the first ride. I would ride to work 3 times (6km) on low power setting and be down to one bar on the battery but the controller on the bars would show full battery. When going uphill the battery indicator on the bars would fluctuate but not in relation to the battery indicator. Recently the battery has take 2hrs to charge from empty (should be 6hrs) and now when the battery is fully charged the bar indicator is blinking showing either an issue or flat battery. It won't work at ll in this state. Also the motor on full power makes a slight grinding noise. As this is such a heavy bike riding without the motor is a real slog. Hopefully I just got a duff one but I wish I had spent more for the Vulcan which is now in the sale and has a 50% bigger battery capacity than this.Date published: 2018-01-12Rated 5 out of 5 by Squawk7005 from What hills? I am new to electric bikes and have peddled out over 4000 miles this year on road and mountain bikes. Tired of trains, delays and overpaid tickets i wanted a quality bike I can use for a lenghty commute and take the strain off my knees on the hills. I was not expecting too much but was literally blown away by the power this bike packs. It beezes up hills will minimal effort, with a good chuckle leaving out of breath cyclists in my wake. Even without the motor the bike rides easy. Be warned though it is on the heavy side and you may need to wear padded shorts, the saddle is a little uncomfy. You cannot match the quality of this bike with anything near or within its price range. It may not have all the bells and whisles but who actually needs that? I should have purchased one a long time ago. Impressed and my commutes have turned into fun.Date published: 2017-12-17Rated 5 out of 5 by RobinHoodXV from Amazing, Cycling just became fun again Had this bike just over a week and I love it. One of the cheapest electric bikes around yet it is everything and more I expected, it is so much fun. As far as people saying it defeats the object of cycling I think it's the opposite, on dark windy mornings there would be no way I would cycle to work and just jump in the car, now I can't wait to get on it, them uphill against the wind climbs are now a breeze,I still pedal normal most of the way, just them horrible bits I give myself a boost. Can't wait for summer to do some long rides.Date published: 2017-12-08Rated 2 out of 5 by Haffy73 from Intermittent Fault I seem to have a fault with my bike, I am going to take it back to see if there is a resolution. The motor cuts in and out intermittently. I suspect that there is a loose connection somewhere but nothing is visible. :-( On the plus side when it does work it is great I have some really steep hills to deal with to get to work, which is the reason that I purchased an electric bike.Date published: 2017-12-05
