Wiggins Chartres Junior Bike - 20"Beginning to find their own way on two wheels? The Wiggins Chartres Junior Bike has been specifically designed to make cycling easier as the rides start to get longer. Gears can be tricky to get to grips with, so the Chartres has been equipped with an easy-action Shimano trigger gear shifter for easy shifting, helping to build confidence. Alongside that is an ultra-lightweight double butted aluminium frame, aluminium fork, alloy brakes, and a fully sealed bottom bracket to make pedalling super smooth. If your youngster is of the more thrill-seeking type, more aggressive mountain bike tyres can easily be fitted, making this the perfect 'do anything' bike.

Wiggins Chartres Junior Bike - 20" Wheel is rated out of 5 by 36.Rated 5 out of 5 by Dooogal from Bargain kids bike Bought this during the Easter sale & used a British Cycling club code for a further 10% discount so only paid a bargain 180gbp. Absolutely superb value even at full RRP. Quality frame & component selection. Nice modern geometry with a long reach & wheelbase giving very stable riding. Nice colour & mod styling touches like the headset cap bullseye. Half the price of an islabike & less than a bag of sugar heavier.Date published: 2018-05-20Rated 5 out of 5 by ATY9 from Great Buy! Wanted to get the right bike which is light and will be used for a few years but didn't want to spend too much on a junior bike and this ticked all the boxes and, when received, perfect! Our son loves it .......all that matters. Ordered online and collected in store few days later and 6 week check and servicing can be done in any Halfords Store.Date published: 2018-05-11Rated 5 out of 5 by Kem1 from Super light I choose this bike for my six year old as she is petite and needed a light bike. It’s amazing I can lift her and bike up. Also rubust and well built. I have ridden it to check it out. Great bikeDate published: 2018-05-06Rated 5 out of 5 by Mike3578 from Fantastic bike to improve cycling for younger children I bought this bike for my son's 7th birthday. He previously had an Apollo Xpander mountain bike. It was very heavy and he didn't enjoy riding his bike as much as he does with the Wiggins. It is light, gears and brakes easy to use. The bike has really transformed our family rides as he now enjoys riding with us for longer distances. Overall slightly more than I'd ideally like to pay for the bike but in terms of quality it is worth it in my opinion.Date published: 2018-04-21Rated 5 out of 5 by Ninkynonk99 from Brilliant spec bike for fantastic price When you compare this bike to the equivalent size frog or Isla bike, you’re getting something that is the same spec but for a fraction of the price. We’ve got two now after being so impressed with the first one. Not sure how the resale value will compare to the more well known brands. A new one of these is cheaper than a second hand Isla bike.Date published: 2018-04-21Rated 5 out of 5 by saschlet from Nifty and good value This was 50 squid off plus 10% on the day so really good value compared to similar offerings from Isla or Hoy. It’s slim and lighter than his previous bike. I like the gears. I like the quick release wheels and brakes (so easy to put in boot of car). Halfords assembly service saved me a lot of hassle too. Only letdown was the Halfords kids mudguards were a swine to fit into the front wheel.Date published: 2018-04-10Rated 5 out of 5 by IainKay from Cracking little bike I was looking for the first proper bike for my 5 year old son who recently learned to ride without stabilisers. He was riding a heavy little 16 inch bike and I wanted to get him something lighter and a bit faster. I had looked at the Islabikes and Frog bikes but to be honest I think they're over-priced and the Wiggins bikes seemed to be as good. I then had the dilemma of whether to go for a 16" bike or the larger 20". In the end I opted for the 20" and simply removed the rear reflector to get the seat down to its lowest possible height. Anyway, it has been a complete hit with him. He loves it and keeps asking to go back out on it with his sister who we bought the 24 inch version for. Well done Wiggo! Gold Medal from me.Date published: 2018-04-04Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Light, cool, takes my 7 year old's riding to a different level Great looking bike, super light, takes my 7 year old's riding to a different level. Prior to this she was on a babyish bike, with stickers and plastic basket, which was brilliant to develop her confidence and to faff about on, but this enables us to cycle much further, and she loves the fact that she can pick it up herself and it's easier to pedal.Date published: 2018-03-01
