Wiggins Chartres Junior Hybrid Bike - 24"Wind in your hair, laughs with your mates, the first real taste of freedom, all that and more sum up the Wiggins Chartres Junior Hybrid Bike. An ultra-lightweight double butted aluminium frame and aluminium fork make the Chartres 24” as easy to ride as possible. Gears aren't always straight forward for younger riders, so it's equipped with easy-action Shimano Altus trigger shifter to help build confidence as they move through the wide 9 speed gear range. Topped off with specially designed lightweight disc brakes and hybrid tyres (with the ability to easily fit more rugged ones), the Chartres enables kids to go anywhere and to discover their love of cycling.

Wiggins Chartres Junior Hybrid Bike - 24" Wheel is rated out of 5 by 15.Rated 5 out of 5 by jms001x from Excellent Quality Junior Lightweight Hybrid Bike Recently purchased this Wiggins Chartres Hybrid 24" Cycle for my son after he had tried a similar high Spec. Beinn 24" cycle from competitor. My son absolutely loved this Wiggins cycle and actually preferred the 9 speed Shimano Rapid Fire Trigger shift, over competitors 8 speed twist shift. Also this cycle comes with Clarks Spec. disc breaks as standard for reliable stopping power. This cycle comes complete with the signature Wiggins reverse curved fork and stunning Wiggins colour branding. This truly is a quality brand light weight Junior cycle with all the features of the competitor cycle for 35% less, offering exceptional value for money.Date published: 2017-07-29Rated 5 out of 5 by Agnes39 from Very good bike. Very good bike. Bought it for my two boys 8 and 7 years old. My boys can't stop riding :) The only bad thing about Halfords is their staff. Completely unprofessional. Had to take the bikes back to the shop as they were not assembled properly. It was lots of rubbing noises coming from the brake disk and other clicking noises as well. The only issue is the build up by Halfords was very poor!!Date published: 2017-07-16Rated 5 out of 5 by Yerteasoot from Brilliant bike I bought this for my 8 year old daughter. I wanted a light bike for her that had good brakes and gears. It has all of that, its super lightweight which makes it so much easier for her to cycle up hills. Would really recommend this brand, top qualityDate published: 2017-06-06Rated 5 out of 5 by OrientalSpice78 from Brilliant Light Bike Bought this first 'grown up' bike for my 9 year old son who loves it and keeps wanting to ride it. I ordered it online and had it built for store collection. Bike is very streamline and light. Lovely colours and also came with a bell. The front wheel also detaches which is useful to get in the car. Back wheel also detaches but I haven't tried to yet. Seat is a little hard as with most bike seats so may get that changed. Will be getting a bike stand fitted when we go back for our 6 week check as these were not in stock on the day.Date published: 2017-04-26Rated 5 out of 5 by Frogfan from Come on Halfords! As previous reviewers have pointed out. Halfords, you really need to "up your game"! You've got a great little bike here, soon to be snapping at the heals of Frog and Islabikes. I've just given some cycling lessons to a young lad with his brand new Wiggins Chartres Hybrid. The fork was on the wrong way round, the rear brake cable wasn't clipped in properly, the reflectors were loose, the brake levers weren't adjusted for small hands and the saddle was tipped downwards causing the rider to slip forwards. If it were my child, "would I go back to Halfords", "not a chance".Date published: 2017-04-22Rated 5 out of 5 by ksutts from Excellent Bike & Customer Service We bought a Wiggins Chartres bike and it lives up to the reviews, great bike, doesnt have loads of frills but does the important stuff really well. Lightweight, simple gears and great ride (im told). We had the bike built and the customer service and handover was great the guy (Ben, Sutton In Ashfield) knew his stuff and took time to explain the best bits of the bike and didnt go into pushy aftersales mode. Great Service.Date published: 2017-01-06Rated 5 out of 5 by baza1976 from Lightweight and good brakes This is an example of you get what you pay for. lightweight, good disc brakes although slight rub as with all of this type of brake. good gear shifters easy to use for my 7 year old boy.Date published: 2017-01-02Rated 5 out of 5 by F8full8 from Great build! Super innitiative Wiggo! I am reviewing this bicycle based on what its main user (my daughter) feels about it. It performs and looks great, the quality build is obvious and all parts are working well, so far. I'm saying "so far" because this bike won't be abused to the extremes and I wont be able to tell it failed when it will. From what I've seen I have no complaints. Only a minor squeek of the front disk brake, but probably it catches on the brake pads, I dunno, its minor as I said. If I'd have noticed that in the shop I would have it fixed on the spot as the shop assistant said.Date published: 2016-09-01
