Wiggins Rouen Junior Road Bike - 650c Wheel is rated out of 5 by 11.Rated 5 out of 5 by jamieG1 from Wiggins bike I got this for my son for christmas he loves it.Its amazing quality and great components such as shinamano gears. we has a lot of hills round us and with such low gears he can get up them with ease.Date published: 2018-01-01Rated 5 out of 5 by Mike00 from Great Road Bike Bought this for my son age 10. Fits him perfectly, great spec. Excellent bike for the price. Would highly recommend.Date published: 2017-08-05Rated 5 out of 5 by Snaps from Great to get kids into cycling Bought this for my (smallish) 10 yr old & it fits him perfectly but with plenty of room for growth. It has quality components and the look & feel of a proper road bike. Very impressed with the spec & it's a good price. Perfect for my budding triathlete!Date published: 2017-07-13Rated 4 out of 5 by XYZ345 from Loves the bike My son (age 9) loves the bike and rides it the mile to school everyday. It certainly is very light and looks the part. He has spontaneously received several "nice bike" comments. So he is chuffed to bitsI. My only improvement would be to have the brake levers as well so that they are easy to reach in the upright position (if I am describing that correctly). I think my son thinks it is just perfect and is very proud.Date published: 2017-07-11Rated 5 out of 5 by Reynard78 from Ideal Road Bike for the Shorter Lady Being a shorter lady, finding a bike that fits is easier said than done - even the smallest ladies' frames are often too big. When I decided to take the plunge and buy my first road bike (I've always ridden MTBs before), it ended up being a straight choice between this and the Triban 500. After having tried out both, it was an easy decision to go for the Wiggo. I've done about 70 miles on it so far and am thoroughly enjoying the riding experience - here's to many more pleasurable miles. Have removed the toe clips however, as I'm used to riding without.Date published: 2016-12-09Rated 5 out of 5 by Plimmer01 from Cracking bike I've just collected one of these as an Xmas present for my 8 year old daughter. Having looked at the other options (Islabike, Hoy, Dawes) I plumped for this as there seemed to little between them and this (with a 10% discount I found online) came in at far less than the others at £283. I was a bit concerned I'd made a mistake but on collecting it I must say I was delighted. A lovely bike, frame is funky and clearly well made. I was also impressed by how light it was, being used to the usual weight of kids bikes. Can't wait for Christmas day! I've been a serious road cyclist since childhood so like to think I know a thing or two about bikes and I must admit to a bit of bike envy, not sure I'll fit on it though! £15 of free accessories was a lovely bonus as well....Date published: 2016-12-02Rated 5 out of 5 by Cidercyclist from Ideal alternative to other bikes Having a rapidly growing 7 year old and now 4 different Islabikes in the garage of varying sizes I was finding it difficult to justify yet another one! Putting my (and a lot of other people's) opinions to the side, I gave these a look as an alternative. I was very surprised to find the quality on at least the same level as the Isla's as was the weight, not just a BSO here. With the 20% discount that was on offer at the time of purchase plus my 10% British Cycling discount meant I paid £200 less than the last Isla I bought him. This allowed me to put cross-top levers and a set of Claris shifters on which are a huge improvement on the below par Microshift ones that seem to be on a lot of bikes for kids. They are marketed as being easier to use but in reality they aren't! I did have to make some changes to the bike to comply with BC gear restrictions but that was going ot be the case on any bike I bought so not a criticism in the slightest. So far he has loved the bike with a win on his first race on it. Can't reccommend this highly enough and definitely a challenge to the usual suspects in kids bikes.Date published: 2016-10-03Rated 5 out of 5 by Richard9709 from Excellent first road bike I bought this for my 7 year old son who had outgrown his previous bike which was a mountain bike. The difference in quality and performance is huge. The Wiggins being light and speedy. My son said riding it was like flying and quickly got used to the new arrangement for the gears. Brake levers were a little difficult for him on the first ride but he was fine by the second ride. Build quality overall is very good although the welding would be neater on a more expensive bike. The only downside are the cage pedals which cone as standard. I had these changed when we picked the bike up to normal flat pedals. Caged pedals are too difficult for novice riders and the ones fitted also feature nasty jagged steel foot rests. the last bike I bought from Halfords also had these which I changed as well. Overall very pleased with this bike which my son is just big enough for at 139cm and should last him a good few years. Perfect for the many cycle paths we have in Derby and we went on a 10km ride on his third ride.Date published: 2016-08-29
