Rated 4 out of 5 by 99 reviewers.Rated 1 out of 5 by Verified Reviewer Chain fell off after 5 months Chain fell of after 5 months took it back to the store I purchased it from and they wanted me to pay for a new chain. The bike had only been lightly used and it is not normal for this to happen. I think this maybe a regular occurrence for halford's bike as they did not seem to be surprise and that it was an every day occurrence. Maybe it is with these bikes ! 23 August 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by Verified Reviewer A good all-rounder This bike is good value for the money. The only think I would say is that the breaks are not too great but just about do the job. 26 September 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Martinej Houston we may have a problem? This bike is my very first all aluminium, all suspension and all round disk braked bike. First impression when it was wheeled out of the storeroom was excellent piece of kit, now I just needed to improve on it with my personal touch. I've had plenty of mountain bikes in the past which I ridden into the ground which I tend to do and will have to see how this bike performs over the winter period. Been out on it a few times and it rides very well but for me it takes some getting use to the disk brakes for the first time specially when your use to normal cantilever brakes. Before leaving Halfords I had another set of pedals added so I can fit toe clips at a later date, seat bag for tools and odds and sods, I've added a water bottle holder with a mini pump holder and pump not purchased from Halfords. I will be fitting a crud catcher to it and I may also fit a rear mudguard, but I don't mind getting dirty on it, after all that's what it's all about isn't it. Love the colour and the paintwork seems quite hard wearing but there were a few scratches to the frame whether this was due to storage or transport I don't know but it won't stop me from riding it. You get a quick release front wheel but sadly not the same for the rear but will have to remedy that myself which will cut down on carrying additional tools. Overall I'm a very happy customer, the price has crept up a bit since I bought it, but still think it's good value for money considering you can buy the same style of bike for at least upto £1000 or more. It does have it's pro's and cons pretty much like everything else does in this world with the cons being rather petty really more than being a problem. 25 September 2016Rated 1 out of 5 by Reece46 Bike is rubbish Terrible bike it falls apart after 7 months the grips fell off the bike was squeaky and the brakes hardly worked waste of money. Wish I could rate 0 stars 02 August 2016Rated 1 out of 5 by Kerry071 Shambles The bike seemed ok when picked up but next day the handlebars came loose which caused an accident 13 September 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Scubaref All round great performer Ok it's a occasional use bike for off road but perfectly adept on the road for greater use. If like me you waont (dont want to) pay hundreds and sometimes 000's then this more tha fits the bill. Full suspension big fat tyres 21 gears great coilour etc etc it does the job. I was wary of some reports about set up but thus far mine has been perfect. So clearly the guys in Aberystwyth know their stuff :-) Gear change on a couple of gears a bit clunky but no doubt will bed in if not they can be adjusted on the first FREE service, so no problem.Brakes more than adequate - another concer, but not on my bike. So for the money an excellent machine - MHO Very easy to organise setup and collection. They contacted me to confirm so good cust service. The guy who met me on collection very friendly and seemed to know his stuff as gave goold advice. So 5 stars from me and a very happy Halfords customer. 08 September 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by ZAMS Reasonable bike for the sale price Bought this in the summer sale for my 12yr old boy, at the web exclusive price of 45pct off. At this price then I think its a reasonable deal for an alloy based frame, with full suspension and dual disc brake system. Other stores had similar prices (so this is not a super bargain price) but did not have the Halford build and 6 week service -- this was important for me as I havent built/set a bike a in very long time. The bike itself is not too heavy and looks good although other colour options would have been nice. The gears / brakes are of adequate quality but not equivalent to the higher grade Shimano systems (yes I did some web research). My son says it rides fast and is happy ...so that means Im happy. 27 August 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Sparky1973 Excellent value for money My 12 year old son is over the moon with his new bike. It took a bit of time to set up brakes and gears in shop but once this was done we haven't had any problems since. There is front and back suspension, disk brakes and shimano gears so compared to other bikes you are getting a lot for your money, it is slightly heavy but my 12 year old has no problems getting it in and out of garage and riding it. I recommend this bike 15 August 2016
