Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 33 reviewers.Rated 5 out of 5 by Uddeen Great All Rounder This bike is amazing. For its big frame size this bike is deceptively light. When I first got on all I could see was the massive chunky wheels in front and I felt like i was riding a tank and any terrain is no obstacle. Because of the suspension, chunky tyres and front suspension this bike feels a lot smoother to ride through uneven terrain and light to medium trails. So far I have clocked up a few miles on it already and its very good. I love the suspension, the disc brakes and the smooth gear shifters. 12 September 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by ninja99 Great bike, just don't have it Wanted to purchase this bike, but halfords managed to stuff it up for me 21 August 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Pjdm Fabulously capable This bike is capable of anything and the large tyres make light work of tricky terrain allowing you to focus on your direction of travel. A really good bike. The only thing I will change is the seat as it is not the most comfortable of its type. 16 August 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by schpleng plus size pleasure Riding this bike for 3 months now, amazing value for money. Forks very limiting, bad top out all the time but compression good for an undamped coil spring budget job. Changed brakes to hydraulic after one ride and fitted 203 discs, these big wheels need big brakes. Saddle is fine for comfort, you just need to ride lots to get hardened to it. Gear range limiting as an 8 speed but sufficient. Beware the low low bottom bracket height, I did not notice this on the shop floor, pedal strikes come often. Lovely wide bars, grips too bulky, swapped to lock ons. Tyres limit reached quite soon but play with low pressures and feel them sucking up the terrain. Bottom bracket is very wide at 100mm and very low so be aware of pedal strikes. This has to be the lowest cost route into plus size fun and mayhem so for the price its absolute killer, get one just for the giggles it brings, well done Carrera Halfords. 07 June 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by bodgeup Carrera Vendetta Got this last bank holiday for half price, well pleased. Only thing wrong is the saddle is rock hard. But other than that its great. Well worth the price. 30 May 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by 2ndclasscitizen Good bike for the price, brakes are TERRIBLE. I got this bike when it was reduced to £250 and wanting to dip my toe in to 27 plus bikes I snapped one up. I was a bit concerned about the weight more than anything originally, however after the first ride I knew that wan't an issue. The shocks aren't great however you're always going to compromise shock quality with cheaper bikes and after playing about with the pre-load for a few miles their more than adequate, yes a remote lock out for climbs would be nice but at this price you can't complain. If I were to be picky the lever on the shifters to change gear is too far back so I had to keep moving my hand round the grips to change up, not a major issue for me as I'll change it to a 1x10 set up. The handle bars are too wide for me, again not really an issue as their easily chopped down. HOWEVER, the worse thing on this bike are the brakes, they are APPALLING, even after quite a few miles they haven't bedded in as I would have expected. I only ride down Woburn woods so decent brakes are a must, after a couple of rides I ordered some hydraulic ones to replace the original mechanical ones. They really are bad... For what I paid for the bike it's an excellent price if you want to try out a 27 plus, my other bike is a Specialized Camber Elite full sus that cost 6 times as much as what I paid for this however I can see the full sus not getting used as much, this really does roll over things better and is lovely to ride, although it's going to take me a while to get use to being back on a hardtail form a full sus. 29 May 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by MN54 Carrera Vendetta I ordered this bike 2 weeks ago during the long weekend sale so was half price. Service was excellent including regular updates on delivery and was ready for pick up as promised. I have since covered 100 miles on trails. The bike has been faultless so far with smooth gears and good brakes and seems to be really well built. The ride and handling are good making it easy to cover ground. For the money this bike is great value for the spec 18 May 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by N3R0 Amazing Bike What can I say it's an amazing bike for the money, I bought mine from (Triton Rd) store in Lincoln. The two lads that was in the service department were brilliant- LOUIE & BEN were fantastic they couldn't help me more I stressed to them that i'd reserved the bike week before but when I went to collect it had been sent out to someone else so I had to reserve it again, and make a new order but the price had risen to £349.99 which wasn't the original price I'd reserved it at. But these two lads were great they accepted that and reduced it to the original price of £249.99 not only that but they did a great job of setting the bike up and fitted mudguards etc... These lads were fantastic can't thank them enough. 16 May 2016
