Rated 5 out of 5 by from Voodoo hoodoo - Got this bike to begin mountain biking also with the occasional commute to work . The bike itself is extremely well priced for what you get . I’ve has this bike down davagh forest and it performs as well as the full suspension bikes if not better . Highly recommend it . I has to cut an inch off the saddle post to lower it all the way down for downhill and pedals need upgraded

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great entry level bike I've always had mountain bikes for the rough roads where I live. The bike has performed very well on it's first few outings of city riding and I'm really pleased with the quality compared with bikes I've had in the past. I can't figure out if the 10 speed is enough yet and something I might look to upgrade in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent 5* bike is everything i was expecting, I wasn't worried it only had a deore group set as I upgraded that as soon as I got it home, forks are OK but will upgrade them as well at some point but for the moment are OK for whats needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb Superb from the point of sale at Halfords Cheadle to collecting my purchase and enjoying riding it. Niels at Cheadle Halfords certainly knows his stuff, though I did research what I was after I wanted a bike that at up to date equipment. Why buy a bike with dated tech on it. This bike has awesome hydraulic breaks plus an up to date shape along with a gearing crank set. Sure you could go and spend more on a brand from Evans but being. A canny Scotsman I certainly didn’t want ripped off. Can’t value the bike, it’s equipment and Niels knowledge enough. Superb.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing starter mountain bike I bought this bike as a bit of a "No Frills" bike for the wife to use when we're out with the kids. My usual steers in the past have been Santa Cruz's, Oranges and more recently a Titus. A far cry from a £500 entry level bike. I took it out on a ride round the peak district as a shake down, and it performed beautifully. The brakes took a while to get any sort of bite, and the forks are a bit tricky to get right in terms of sag and rebound but they performed their job well. I'm not a light rider, and I prefer to throw myself down stuff instead of picking lines with grace, and the wheels are still true, the tyres coped with Peak District mud and it railed the rooty, rocky corners like a bike costing twice as much. I swapped the bars for some Renthals to give it a touch more width, and I mean only a touch. I think the original bars are 740mm wide, and the Renthal's are 760. Nothing on this bike requires immediate upgrades IMO. Replace things as they break/wear out. Steerer is a straight 1-1/8" which makes fork upgrades slightly tricky, but not impossible. Nice to see little touches like a narrow wide chainring, but 34t is a little on the large side. A 30 or 32 would be better for actual off road use.
