Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 82 reviewers.Rated 5 out of 5 by Rekords Super Bike Delighted with the Virtuosa. I was looking for a bike to loose a bit of weight and improve my general fitness, in my early sixties and middle age spread, spreading. I needed real advise as this was to be my first road bike and I cannot praise enough the service and advice received from Alfie in the Castlebar store. I didn't want to spend too much on my first road bike and Alfie was of enormous help in getting me to my decision, I am now using the bike on poor and very hilly roads in my area and am totally delighted. The speed and ease of gear changes as well as braking ability make this bike a real pleasure to use especially on the hills. The bike is really well set up thanks again to Alfie who really knows his stuff and couldn't cave been more helpful. Lost a stone in my first month of usage which is a bonus and can't find any fault other than the pedals which Alfie changed for me on the day of purchase. I didn't expect to fall in love with cycling again at my age but this bike is just great. 15 June 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Aidan22 Great bike and great repair jobs Iv been cucling on this bike so much i used it to go to work and the shops and iv only had to accidents on it and the halfords in dover does a great job and the man that fixed it (paul G) does a really good job 08 May 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Chopper50 Super bike Everything you could wish for in a road bike. Gears are very smooth. Brakes are very responsive. It feels like a top of the range bike. It's very light, rides great and looks great. 19 June 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by Abacuss Careers virtuoso Great bike for the money use it for work and a bit of pleasure. Previous I had a mountain bike and this is great for on road. Would recommend to any cyclists. 14 June 2016Rated 3 out of 5 by Stumpyjock Good cheap road bike Had the bike 2 weeks now and covered approx 150 miles without any problems. Good cheap bike. 20 May 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by Lancebgflelrifgwe A good bike marred by a poor fit The good news: the Carrera Virtuoso has Shimano Claris gears providing a good clean, swift shift. Good brakes (when adjusted properly) a well finished frame, and, in the white, grey and blue it looks good. However, like a pair of shoes it's only as good as its fit. The saddle height was adjusted for 'me', but the bars and seat fore-aft saddle needed doing too. I know its a cheap bike but its got to fit. The brakes, even on full application, would not stop the front wheel rotating due to poor adjustment. The reflectors on the pedals broke in the first week. Knowing what I know now, would I buy this bike again? Yes. The overall quality (ignoring the reflectors) is good and it rides - to this novice - well. Halfords have a lot of work to do when it comes to fitting a bike for the customer. 11 May 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by gray1706 new to biking Having only bein cycling a few month and bein 5ft 10 & 17stone I 1st brought the carrera tdf which after buying realized that it had gear issues which made hills a big problem, so I allmost give up, but I brought this carrera & what a difference between them its a dream 01 February 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by lend13 Great bike brilliant bike for the price range, fast and light. 01 January 2016
