Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 128 reviewers.Rated 5 out of 5 by Pobpob Virtuoso Great. I bought continental gatorskin tyres so I don't have to worry too much about flats. The saddle is fine if you've used a road bike before but you'll get used to it. I bought and fitted black grip take for the handle bars as the white would have been filthy by now. I'd change the pedals also and your good to go. 23 October 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by yogibear29 This bike has great features brought a Carrera virtuoso from Halfords on Friday 21st October from the Redditch store. served by Harvey. Very helpful. made changes on the bike for me that I asked for, which were the pedals and other adjustments. Credit where credits due. Top lad. 22 October 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Verified Reviewer Great product Really good bike and excellent value for money. Would recommend getting different tires for it though as they puncture very easily and don't have particularly good grip. 08 October 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Ibiza1999v Great value road bike This is my 1st road bike for a number of years, I wanted something that was easy to use to get me back into road cycling and the staff in-store recommended this carrera to me. It's quite light for its price and has a good range of gears. The saddle is surprisingly comfortable and the riding position is very good. The paint work and details give the bike a striking look. The only downside I find is the peddles, however removing the straps makes it a lot easier to get your feet in and out of them in a hurry. I have ridden alot of more expensive bikes in the past but for its money the carrera holds its own very well. 08 October 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Robin3 A very good buy Bought the bike a week ago upgrading from a mtb which i have been using mainly on the road. I bought the bike and assembled myself due to the long wait at my local halfords store. I had no problems at all and was soon out for my first ride. I have noticed the big improvement in speed and hills have been easier. I did have a minor glip after about 30 miles ridden where the gears suddenly had a mind of thier own and started to ghost change but after a adjustment back to being no problem they change easily and with little fuss. The pedals have been mentioned time and time again in these reviews i can't say I'm having any issues with them but they do take abit to get used to and i have found the need to wearing different shoes to what i had been. they just need practice. The quality of the bike seems to be very good at the price point. I was unsure of the brake and gear change levers but they seem to work very well. The brakes are nice and sharp and are quiet. I have had no tyre issues yet another concern that has been raised a few times. The bike rides smoothly and is fast i was surprised at how much quicker i have been finding it. overall having only done 62 miles I am pleased and feel that it is a good starting road bike. 24 September 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Nicknamme First impressions Today was the first time Ive ridden a road bike, and it was a pleasure on the Virtuoso. Moving off is significantly less tiring than on a heavier bike, also less effort required cornering and avoiding all the potholes. Comfort wise i was prepared for the worst but its fine. The road style handlebars are also easy to relax on. 23 September 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Midnightrider1 A lot of bike for your money! The Virtuoso is my first real road bike after a few years on a hybrid [also an excellent Carrera] the Virtuoso is very quick and responsive, the Claris gears very smooth. The only upgrades ive found necessary are swapping the budget Kenda tyres for a set of Gatorskins, these were available instore on the day I collected the bike and were price matched with the cheapest available online..well done Halfords! The pedals are a bit cheap but Ive found a decent set of replacement. The finish and colour scheme on the bike is fabulous,a real head turner! I know Carreras get short shrift from the bike snobs, just ignore them and get out there! Great service and set up by the guys at Halfords, Worksop. This bike will give you miles of smiles at a remarkable price. 22 September 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Arora03 Great Bike Great value for money. It's my first road bike and I love it! 26 October 2016
