Carrera Zelos Road Bike 2015 is rated out of 5 by 139.Rated 5 out of 5 by RPTee from Great starter roadie for a reasonable price I've had this bike for around 5/6 weeks now and rode most week days to work (18~ miles round trip). So far I'm really impressed with the quality of the bike, it feels solid and rides really well on the roads. The brake and gear systems are really good, both work well in wet and dry conditions. Few drawbacks on this bike is the pedals, they're not the greatest quality but they're satisfactory for starting out. The seat is really uncomfy, I'd recommend changing this if you can. The paintwork comes off really easy, wouldn't recommend attaching anything to the bike that would rub on the frame. All in all this bike is great for starting out on the roads and commuting, with the above in mind I would definitely recommend this bike.Date published: 2017-03-22Rated 5 out of 5 by mt53 from road bike Great value good looking lightweight .......................................Date published: 2017-03-21Rated 5 out of 5 by ajh80 from Great value for money Bought this bike in the sale and find it excellent value for money. It is so light weight and gear changing is very easy. Very easy to get about on the road and very durable. Your struggle to get better value for a road bike.Date published: 2017-03-20Rated 5 out of 5 by Steveeno from Brilliant (except the pedals) I was looking to try a new sport so this was a good price entry bike. I've been out every day for a few weeks and I'm really enjoying it. The service from Halfords was very good. I'll be coming in for my service which is a good opportunity to fine tune the bike but also to ask the questions I was too embarassed to ask when I first started. For example understanding the gears. The only negative, and to be fair this came up in reviews I'd read before purchase is that the pedals aren't fit for purpose. In fact one of mine ripped apart and the foot cage discarded itself on my third ride. I hope they'll replace this or give me a better price on an upgrade come service time. Finally well done Halfords. I'm nearly 52 and when I try running I quickly break down with injuries. With this bike (even in the cold and wind of February) I look forward to my 25k ride every day. No niggles at all.Date published: 2017-02-22Rated 5 out of 5 by Disappointed1234 from i love this bike Great value for money. Its a guys bike but with a bit of tweaking, i.e. moving seat forward so I'm less stretched it will be great. Lovely red and white bar tape. Its my favourite bike. Had to change the pedals, comes with toe straps which i don't like. If there is any left bag a bargainDate published: 2017-02-19Rated 4 out of 5 by brush65 from Check A good start off road bike and good value for money. However check wheels for metal fractures around spokes, mine have. If wheel fails while going down hill at 30 - 40 mph not nice.Date published: 2016-10-08Rated 5 out of 5 by Tex99 from Carrera Zelos I wanted a bike to start some commuting rides. Didn't want to spend too much as wanted to see if I would like it first. Came across this little beauty of a bike. Loved it from the start! Yeah the pedals are a bit rubbish but easy to change and few little niggles after initial set up, but just take back into Halfords and the bike team sorted it for free in no time. People say you can't get a decent bike in this price range but I am regularly doing 40 miles a day on this bike and never had a thing go wrong with it! Great bike and a nice way to start cycling without breaking the bank!Date published: 2016-10-04Rated 4 out of 5 by Latifdesai from Good bike. Poor pedals and seat This is a good bike. Very fast, light and good uphill without a struggle. The pedals are very poor because of its poor design and the seat is dreadful. You may want spend a little bit more money to change those things. But apart from that a good bikeDate published: 2016-09-29
