Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.Rated 4 out of 5 by Verified Reviewer Great value bike, however not set up correctly. This is a great price for a bike with a good spec. Unfortunately the one sent to me had poorly adjusted gears. (This it not something you are supposed to do your self, unlike adjusting the brakes). Because this is a third party product Halfords will not usually fix this in their shops, however they made an exception. 31 May 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by aikiman Great budget bike I looked at several bikes and was pleased to find such a good brand at a good price. Pleased with the look and ride. 01 May 2016Rated 2 out of 5 by herms90 The classic case of you get what you pay for I didnt pay a lot for this bike and I feel it was a reasonable purchase. I didn't want to splash out hundreds of pounds for a super lightweight carbon fibre top of the range roadie, nor did I want to scrimp on a poor quality /second hand bike which may have given me a ton of problems. Which brought me to the claud butler. As a commuter and occasional leisure ride it has suited me well, getting me to where I need to be in due time. It goes fast ,doesn't look bad and brakes well. However its downfall is definitely the gearing of the bike. Any moderate hill will be difficult (to some extent ) to climb. The teeth on the front inner chain ring are too numerous and could do with a reduction of maybe 5-10 teeth. All in all it is a fairly reasonable bike . For roughly another £60 you could purchase another popular entry level bike which has a better level of comfort and all rounded capability i.e can climb hills and good quality. But if you are on a strict budget I would recommend this claud butler , anything cheaper and I suspect there will be more serious issues with whatever you buy. 23 September 20151-3 of 3
