Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 21 reviewers.Rated 3 out of 5 by pointlessquestion Time has revealed issues I have owned my Limba approx. 9 months, it has had little use, every time I ride it something fails. On my first serious ride the chain jammed in the front chainrings, I got home after much messing about. Halfords adjusted everything under warranty. The gearchange (shimano Claris) is awful, I have 20+ year old bikes that change better, the front pad adjuster almost fell out, the adjuster system has failed. My Specialized mountain bike is quicker and easier to ride. Still as it is worth very little used (25 miles only) I have to persevere with it. Also its heavier than stated. 24 August 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by roasty54 Good Value A good sturdy bike. Text by Halfords said bike was ready to pickup. It was not built it when I arrived, and gave me a 10% discount for this. Suspect the Claris system ,slips gears. 06 August 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Yournicknamehasbeentaken Great Value Don't know whether it's worth writing a review as the bike range changes all the time however, in the week I have owned it I have cover 70 miles and can't really fault it. Like the fact it has disc brakes which most road bikes do not have. Having always had mountain bikes, this takes a little getting used to but be warned!!!! The gear range is aimed at speed. If you like hills this is a let down. I ride the same routes as I did on my other bike and the hills are now extremely difficult so much so I am avoiding them which is a shame as I like to include hills. So far no mechanical issues although the wheels do lock up up when breaking at speed and skidding down steep hills isn't much fun. The gear selectors seem a little flimsy and I am doubtful as to how long they will last. At the end of the day, look at the price IT IS NOT A PRO BIKE. Don't expect more than you pay for. 06 September 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Bigbird47 Looks great Great looking bike, well built and has all the features you need. 31 August 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by Ville66 Voodoo Limba Ordered my bike from the Chingford branch following great reviews of the bike. When I turned up to pick up the bike there were deep scratches on the frame, I got £40 in store credit as there was no replacement. I've covered 70 miles so far & have had so many issues with the bike. The front wheel keeps moving & hitting the forks, there was a screeching noise coming from the front wheel, then when I press the brakes the noise changes to a different frequency. This despite Halfords putting the bike together. I took the bike to a small independent shop I know, he checked out the bike & these were the faults he found- front wheel quick release was loose, front & rear wheels not centred, front calliper misaligned, front pads not fitted correctly, I'm disappointed that I've had to pay extra to get the bike put right when Halfords should have done the job properly. The bike itself now it's been put right is awesome, I would recommend you buy the bike & get someone else to put it together. 14 August 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by Verified Reviewer Excellent bike Great bike. A little heavy but the 11/30 cassette makes it seriously zippy. Breaks and tyres give great traction when cornering at speed in wet especially downhill. Delighted I made this purchase. 10 August 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by AlasdairK Excellent bike, but... This is a great bike. Don't get me wrong. Its sturdy, its fast, its built well. I bought this as part of the Cycle to Work scheme, mainly though to go out with my partner on rides as she's getting into triathlons. Took it on a gravel track and went brilliantly. However, toe overlap. Never had a bike with that before, still getting used to the foot position required. Would I have chosen this bike if this had been stated? Possibly not. I would have chosen another. However, its a great cyclocross bike and performs brilliantly. 13 July 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Voodoosteve Love my Limba!! I bought my Limba in December 2015 in a sale for a bargain price, plus got another 10% off with my British cycling card! I went mad straight away, and upgraded to full Ultegra groupset including cx 77 brakes. The result?..... One awesome fast bike, both on the trails and on road. Swapped the tyres for Schwalbe marathon 35s and have amazing grip, wet or dry, tarmac or gravel!! Highly recommend the brake upgrade!! 04 May 2016
