ReviewsHalfords V High Temperature Engine Enamel Paint Matt Black 250ml 5 7Pretty good stuff I purchased this to paint the brake callipers on my BMW, as there was not a specific black calliper paint available. In summary, as others have mentioned this is quite runny, but coverage is excellent and a little goes a long way so it is very good value. Quite a bit cheaper than Halfords calliper paint. It is a very matt finish when it dries, so go for the gloss version if that is the finish you are after. 14 May 2011Good paint I used this paint on a moped exhaust, the lower high temp one just burnt off, however this one stayed on with no problems :) The paint is very runny, so does require care to get a good finish. Very quick drying and loads in a tin. 23 October 2010good value for money if you want to fix your exhaust cheap end effective, this is the paint you are looking for. I just did my motorbike downpipes few days age and everything sems to be fine. I wouldnt recomend you paint in spay as I tried before, It just came off after few months, do it with paint brush, and bake it in high temp before aplying next layer if possible. 28 May 2010Very Good Product I bought this product to re-paint the black exhausts on my motorcycle. These were originally matt black but with time had become quite rusty. Although hidden mostly as they work their way through the frame, the ugly reality showed through when the side panels were removed. Following minimal preparation with a wire brush and some emery paper, the paint went on easily. Two coats were used. To bake the paint on without burning, I started and run the engine a few times; gradually increasing the running time and hence the temperature. So far so good. It has been on for about 2 months and still looks good. Some reviewers have been disappointed with the results and these seem to be after painting a car exhaust manifold. The manifold can reach very high temperatures (glowing red on performance cars). and so it is quite a challenging task to find a paint that can withstand that kind of temperature but outwards of 300mm from the cylinder head is fine. I can highly recommend this product if used in the right application. 20 December 2009engine paint i used this for a scooter pipe and it worked great, looks a neat and tidy job a great product with lots in a tin. 25 May 20091-6 of 6
