ReviewsRing PowerSource Inverter 75W 3 6Does what it says, but might as well get a usb The product is small and flexible, and is as big as your hand, which is good. It charged my phone continually on long journeys, but I can't say the same about my laptop (which is rated at 75W). With the Laptop plugged in, it would cut out every 5-10 mins, to cool down (I presume), which does put red in your eyes when the screen constantly dims and brightens jumping from eco to plug-in mode. In the end, it really doesn't charge your laptop or keep it going. (Maybe a Netbook with a lower power rating would perform better?) For small objects like smart phones, mp3 players, a fan, ect, it will do the job fine. It does beg the question though, why not get a USB 12v adapter since most of them can charge from a usb port? The charger is very silent, however it does get hot when in use, you won't get burned, but you'll scream like a little girl. Overall like anything, maxing it out will lose you quality and persistence, so aim for above the belt. If you need 75W, get one which can deliver 100-120W. If you need 50W, then this will do fine. 08 October 2011Neat but weak I reserved on line and picked up in store next day - perfect - Thanks Halfords. However I bought this because it was small and neat and to run by laptop in the car. The laptop charger is 65 Watts. This inverter worked fine for 20 mins then cut out. An hour later it worked again for 20 mins. Reading the instructions it is not rated for continuous use at 75 watts. I returned it and got a refund. Purchased a much bigger inverter that is not as small or neat, but can run my laptop charger 25 August 2010Works as expected Bought this item to power my laptop when the battery is low. I use it for probably no more than one hour at a time. Works well for that purpose. I wouldn't leave it charging unattended though because the casing can get quite hot. 26 May 20091-4 of 4
