I bought a pair of halfords bulbs. Both have failed over the last few months, one looked like it had melted and the other which I replaced tonight had exploded. Replacements at EuroCarParts were <£6 each I'll see how long they last.Date published: 2016-11-08Rated 1 out of 5 by glaut from Lasted less than 2 months Purchased a pair in November to replace one blown and one old headlight. Both bulbs have blown in the last week. Cannot reccomend. Please discontinue product or at least look into improving QC!Date published: 2016-01-20Rated 5 out of 5 by Banavie from Christmas Light! Ordered two Halfords H11 Extreme Brilliance dip headlamp bulbs to be fitted on-line. This was a very necessary purchase as one H/L bulb had gone and with a substantial mileage to do over a few days, much of it on unlit roads, it was essential that the bulb be replaced. As a precaution I also had the other H/L bulb replaced, too. Performance is good: price and fitting good: so too, the branch staff which were very helpful; however, Halfords need to re-work their website, which would not allow ordering at 11:00 pm, so I had to go on-line the following morning. Leaving aside the website, the dip beam Halfords Extreme Brilliance H11 bulbs are good value and provide a bright light.Date published: 2015-12-30Rated 1 out of 5 by ExpectsGoodQuality from Don't buy - They don't last. Utter rubbish I bought one of these to replace a blown bulb on my Mazda 6. That replacement bulb only lasted just over 12 months. By this time, the other headlamp bulb had blown and I had bought another of these bulbs. Really stupid mistake. That one lasted just over 6 months. Fortunately I had the receipt so I stupidly accepted a replacement bulb rather than a refund. That one lasted about 4 1/2 months. I have got a refund on this one today as I had kept the receipt. I did not touch the bulbs during fitting and one was even fitted by Halfords. One assumes that they know not to touch Halogen bulbs. My experience of these bulbs: 1 lasted about 13 months, 1 lasted just over 6 months and the last 4 1/2 months. The bulbs that I have bought from a motor spares shop have lasted longer and have the same brightness and cost far less. Conclusion: These bulbs are utter rubbish and over priced. You will spend your time replacing them if you are daft enough to buy them.Date published: 2015-12-29Rated 1 out of 5 by PhilB1964 from Dont last long Replaced bulbs in Mar 15 and already one has blown in the second set of these bulbs I've bought from Halfords. I returned the bulb to the Ayr branch of Halfords and was asked, had I touched the bulb when replacing it and also that with the amount of pot holes locally this causes bulbs to break early on. Both of these seem very feeble excuses for them selling a poor product which isn't upto standard. These bulbs aren't cheap and therefore have already bought replacements online that are substantially cheaper. Suprised for a chain like Halfords to tell a customer the above excuses, had thought about asking him to explain but I thought I'd wasted enough of my time already. Prior to being given a replacement bulb, I was told that I would have to give them the broken bulb and therefore had to go into Car Park and remove bulb to bring into store soas to recieve replacement. Luckily it was on the nearside which is easy to remove so that I didn't need any tools other wise I would have been stuck.Date published: 2015-08-24Rated 5 out of 5 by Fernie6 from Definitely a lot brighter!! They are definitely much brighter, I would buy these again.Date published: 2015-02-25
