Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.Rated 4 out of 5 by Nan21 This product was just what I wanted I needed a shorter aerial to get my new car in my garage as on reversing out it kept catching the garage door. The richbrook car aerial was exactly what I needed and I am really pleased with it. I bought it online after visiting the Eastbourne store who were not very helpful when I told them I needed a shorter aerial and I was told that the only ones they did were on the rack and that they were all too long. When I went online I was given the option to pick up in store 1 hour later at Eastbourne. How - when I was told that they did not have any? 17 July 2015Rated 4 out of 5 by Ade62 Richbrook Car Aerial Easy to fit, looks good, reception seems to be OK with no loss of signal. 05 February 2015Rated 4 out of 5 by Drummerboy29 I would recommend this product This product worked for me and provided everything I was looking for, after breaking my manufacturers aerial on a low garage door. The makers Richbrook state on the packaging that in certain areas reception may be slightly affected. After an easy fitting experience I tried the radio reception in the garage with the doors closed and everything was fine. 05 January 2014Rated 4 out of 5 by Kw22 Does the job It's a bit pricey but easy to fit and looks good. Reception is the same as my original aerial. 26 October 2013Rated 3 out of 5 by MisterH Form over function First of all and most importantly, the radio reception with this aerial is not as good as a long standard flexible whip. Unless you are in an area with a very strong clear signal, with no obstructions (trees/buildings/bridges) the reception fluctuates and drops out more than it did with the old antenna that I lost. This Antenna is a solid block of Metal and is not flexible at all when fitted, so any contact with another solid object would result in damage to the antenna, mount or roof. It is fitted by screwing a threaded nut into the mount (with a screwdriver) and then screwing the antenna on to the protruding part of the bolt. Three different bolts are provided for fitting to different mounts. The antenna is 'locked' by finally tightening with a small, thin spanner. This is prone to bend and become useless if the antenna is overtightened, so be careful when trying to position the logo by pushing it that little bit further. The fit on my mount was not completely flush so I attempted to use the thin plastic spacer ring to get a better look. This also broke during tightening. The alternative thicker spacer washer was not suitable. These are not shown in the picture. This antenna looks good when fitted, and is small enough to allow the fitting of a roof box, but due to the issues above I would not recommend it for analog radio and it is unlikely to be suitable for digital radios either. If you're not fussed about the reception and just want to bling your car it is a good product but it really does favour form over function and could do with higher quality accesories. 19 July 20131-5 of 5
