ReviewsAutoglym Perfect Car Polishing Cloth x8 8 10Autoglym Perfect Car Polishing Cloth There are eight cloths in total. At first, I was a bit annoyed as when returned home and read the box fully I found out that Autoglym did not recommend that the cloths were to be reused. Although, upon looking on their website I found out that the cloths can be reused and washed. This brings me onto the issue of the material itself. Being 100% cotton, it is bound to fray, it did cause concern that when I lifted the cloths out of the box I was covered in little cotton bits! When I start to polish my car, one way I got around not having the material fraying and going onto the car was by holding it firmly and not allowing any loose edges to be exposed. Although, be warned, if not careful these cloths can be seen as a bit too expensive and not of good standard. All in all, I won't be using the cloths again. 24 July 2011Waste of time I love autogflym polish but their perfect polishing cloth is a complete waste of time to use to buff up the car. As other reviewers have stated, the cotton breaks up and you spend more time trying to remove the tiny pieces of cotton that it takes to buff up the car. Save yourself time and use a soft duster instead. 11 April 2011Poor Quality Overall, VERY disappointed with these cloths. Unfortunately I’d ordered online so didn’t get a chance to look in the box first, if I had I would have realised this is just very cheap and nasty cloth. I’ve found it falls apart in use and leaves bits everywhere. 07 May 2010Expensive bit of cloth I have the highest respect for Autoglym products and I genuinely think that you cannot get any better car cleaning products. But...... this is, in my opinion..... over-priced and over-rated. If I had looked inside the box before I bought these cloths, I would have seen that they are no more than ordinary cotton stockingnet. You would pay a lot less if you just bought a roll of this stuff. It is exactly the same! There are other points that let this product down too. Firstly the cloth needs to be larger because when you are polishing with it you really feel that you need more material. The second let down is that the cloths shed lots of cotton bits all over your clean car especially your seats if your doors are open. It does, however, polish your car......but so would stockingnet ! In my opinion....don't bother with this one! 20 April 2010excelent this product is excellent easy to dristibute the wax or any liquid onto the body work and when polishing it off with a clean cloth is a ease and looks pertect every time 15 March 2010autoglym perfect car polishing cloth If i knew it was just 8 pieces stockingnet i wouldn't have bought it, i can get a roll of stockingnet with much more of it much cheaper, as far as i am concerned you are just paying for the name. 11 September 2009Perfect for applying/removing polish, wax etc I bought these as a trial as i usually use microfibre cloths to apply or remove my products and always end up with smeared paintwork which can take a while to remove by hand, at first i thought i made a mistake when it was falling apart in my hands but when you use it to apply products there is no fear of scratching the paint as its super soft cotton, and the same for removing products, it barely leaves any smears to finish off all you need is a buffing towel to remove the last of the residue and bits of cloth and you're left with a fantastic smear free shine. 31 August 2009Ok-ish It's a shame to give an Autoglym product a luke-warm review, but I can't justify saying anything better about it. It's a long tube of polishing cloth that you cut to size as you need it. However, when you cut it, you create an edge which immediately starts fraying, and leaves 2-3mm long pieces of thread everywhere, even if you make the effort of folding it so that the frayed edges are inside. You'd think it wouldn't matter, but after a while it gets annoying, the bits of thread get everywhere, and are a pain to remove - especially inside the car. Because of this, you can't clean the cloth and re-use it because it would just come apart, and that makes it very expensive - even though there's quite a lot of the stuff in the box. Next time I need to buy something similar, I'll get myself some Halfords-own microfibre cloths. 27 May 2009
