Find the correct Boots & Gaskets for your car
Boots & Gaskets
When we talk about a car's boot, we often think first of the compartment at the back of the car used for storing whatever you're carrying in the car at that moment. However, the car has another boot - one which is far more vital to your car working properly.
The steering boot is a rubber cover which encases CV joints and protects them from the elements. Salt, ice and water can all corrode these joints and cause steering problems.
If they're not looked after properly, you could end up having to replace the whole steering axle, which will be far more expensive.
Fluid leaks from the power steering unit could also signal problems, and replacing the probably-worn gasket could be the answer to your problems. Pop into your local Halfords store if you need a nudge in the right direction, and we'll be happy to help.
