Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 39 reviewers.Rated 5 out of 5 by Reknaw A cheap tune up! For the price, it is a cheap tune up. Better idle, cleaner revs, less black smoke from exhaust. Worth doing prior to an MOT to lower emissions. It seems some reviews on here didn't read the instructions. It is not a 2 man job and you do not need to keep the revs at 1500. Just run the car till hot and then squirt it in 1 second or less blasts up the intake. I did 20 in a row and then took the revs to between 1000 to 1500 for about a minute. Yes, the anti-knock sensors kick in when you squirt it and engine sounds like a bag of nails, but take your time, don't continually squirt the spray, just say 10 - 20 squirts of 0.5 to 1 second blasts leaving about 1 second intervals and you will be fine, taking the revs up to 1000 - 1500 for about a minute after each 20 squirts. The can states it takes about 10 mins in total, it took me 20 mins or so, but I am a perfectionist and I have had no issues since. It's a great product if you follow the instructions, if you just squirt it continuously, then you will end up like one of the reviewers and it could affect your engine, but if you can't be bothered to take the time to read instructions nor to do things right, then you only have yourself to blame. A great product if in the right hands! 15 June 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by JRKirk Remarkable Used this as directed and it worked a treat. Good for maintenance too. If you're EGR valve is jammed it may need some further attention with clutch cleaner and a small wire brush. 12 June 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by dan45 saved me from costly repairs Did exactly what it was supposed to do, car running as it should do now... 09 June 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Muselinis Perfect stuff My diesel was having hard idle, pulsing revs in idle, even when driving all car was jumping as was no power at all. So i tryied this one, spray bit by bit straight in your air intake tube and it worked straight after treatment!! No problems after this 30 May 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Pjmfd Worth a try As you will see from the reviews, it either works or it doesn't. Hence the mix of 1 star and 5 star reviews. My car, like others had the engine management light come on and occasional limp home mode. Garage said it looked to be a sticky/ faulty egr valve. Was recommended to spend a tenner to see if it fixed the issue, as the alternative was a garage clean/replace which is a bit more than £10! I viewed my purchase as "if it works then great". If not, then at least I know I tried and it has to be a garage fix. So far I am quids in! 08 April 2016Rated 1 out of 5 by Un380 Didn't work for me Despite following instructions and egr problem in its early stages it didn't work. Cleared the management light but came back on the very next day. So it was waste of money. You must keep the can upright which can be difficult depending on the location of air inlet. It should be provided with longer straw or designed so it can be used upside down. 31 March 2016Rated 1 out of 5 by Minky95 Complete waste of time and money Tried this along with Wynns Xtreme Diesel System Cleaner fuel additive, all to no avail. Ended up at garage for new EGR valve as it had seized. Mechanic laughed when I mentioned these products and showed me how solid re-burnt carbon deposits actually are! EGR valves can be serviced and cleaned professionally only if they are removed from the vehicle for refurbishment. 17 March 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Verified Reviewer Worked I had the common problem with my 1.9TDi. Sudden power loss as it went into limp mode, finally an engine warning light I followed the instructions, spraying almost directly into the turbo after the filter It caused the engine to knock loudly and stall a few times ( the trick is small squirts) Engine light went off after half an hour and the power loss has not re-occurred Will be using this at regular intervals as a preventative measure Also used the deep clean diesel treatment 17 February 2016
