Highly recommendDate published: 2018-05-29Rated 4 out of 5 by Trent1337 from Helped with DPF regen on BMW 330D. After chasing my tail trying to get my car to regen using this combined with a cheap eBay cable to reset error codes every 10 seconds on the motorway, it eventually led to DPF regen completing. Wouldn’t of worked on it’s own but does help burn excessive soot in the DPF, don’t believe it would work on its own on newer electronic based cars and I would be wary using on cars still in warranty. If like me you drive a 190K 10 year old BMW you have nothing to lose but a lot to gain. ;) Would not hesitate to use again or recommend 4/5.Date published: 2018-05-09Rated 5 out of 5 by Barb66 from Stops my warning light Filter warning light kept illuminating on my Vauxhall Antara as I do quite a bit of town driving (school runs etc). Was having to burn off up and down the local bypass regularly. Used this in my last but one tank of diesel together with Wynns Injector Cleaner and the warning light has stayed off, meaning my mpg isn't being hammered by burning off and driving miles going nowhere! However, the cost of using both together is £17 so not sure I will use it every third tank but only time will tell!Date published: 2018-04-02Rated 1 out of 5 by Kenyard from Just didn't work Truer this after reading reviews which suggests it's better than many other products but it just didn't change anythingDate published: 2018-03-06Rated 5 out of 5 by JaYY786 from BMW 3 series E90 (N47? engine) I was not the driver. We first tried taking the car on a long drive with RPM around 3000 in a lower gear traveling about 60 and mostly 50mph for over 30mins, this did not work.( we then drove at "normal" motorway speeds for the last bit home and this made no difference, tank may have only been half full at the time, we didn't consider this at the time) Over the next day or two, we noticed that the car was not idling properly (revs up a little and then down again, just above 1k rpm). We spoke to our local garage who said try some dpf cleaner (he didn't know if it would work or not) we bought 1 bottle of this and 2 bottles of "Wynns Injector Cleaner For Diesel Engines" as this required 2 bottles for the same amount of fuel. We made sure there was over half a tank of fuel (as it might need over half as a requirement to regenerate apparently). Everything was added to the fuel and a journey of about an hour was taken. (high revs ~3000rpm) The driver did not notice anything unusual during the drive. On checking the next day, the dpf warning has disappeared. And the engine is idling perfectly. GREAT! (cars service is due now). From memory, one bottle was for half a tank of fuel ~ about 30 litres of diesel for us (you might want to buy 2)Date published: 2018-03-05Rated 5 out of 5 by SplatHoon from This stuff really worked for me So this is probably a much longer review than this needs with much more detail than necessary but I’m so chuffed with this stuff, I wanted to make sure I’d shared my experience. I’ve seen the Internet reviews and I know the reviews of additives are mixed but simply put; this has really worked for me. I’ve been having trouble with my DPF blocking for about 18 months – the cars a full-fat Range Rover TDV8 4.4. It’s definitely a rural car but we are guilty of short journeys and it lives out in the cold in the far north. It’s looked after though; it’s serviced properly (correct oil to the right schedule etc.) and it only gets V Power Diesel. It’s done 45,000 miles. Now such are the problems that I’ve had, I’ve got pretty familiar with the DPF system and how it behaves on my car. When I get an Amber Light (typically every 3-4 months), it will take at least 3-4 sessions of forced regeneration (50 miles at 60mph plus) to clear. We’re 70 miles from the motorway, so I have to take my chances of having an uninterrupted run on a single carriage A-road. In the last year I’ve been out on the road with a Land Rover Technician (c. 2 hours to clear), who later told me it needed replacing at a cost of £3,000. Four months ago, it also went in for a clean at one of the DPF franchise garages after it went to Red Warning and the limp home mode. Today, for the first time since last September, it went into the Amber warning. I dropped into Halfords and dosed the tank with 2 bottles of DPF Cleaner and a bottle of the Wynn’s injector cleaner. I reckon I had somewhere between 70 – 80 litres of fuel in the tank, so perhaps a bit rich according to the instructions but wanted to see if this would actually work before taking it back to the garage. After 30 minutes of driving at 3,000 revs in 3rd gear (just under 60mph) it cleared. This is the first time I have ever seen it clear on the first go. I did a further 30 minutes for good measure. Now it might just be that the filter wasn’t as dirty as it’s been before. It could be that I had a good uninterrupted regeneration this time but for £25 (which is much less than the diesel cost for 3-4 tries at regeneration previously), I’m delighted that it seems to have the measure of it first time. I’m going to keep some of this stuff in the cupboard until I finally get shot of the motor later this year and never buy a diesel again!Date published: 2018-01-30Rated 5 out of 5 by Kram04 from Dpf My car Saab 93 8v was running like a tractor. Tried Wynn's DPF, the noise of the engine became deeper and at 2500 revs I felt the turbo in operation of which I've never felt. If your car feels tired I recommend this product, brilliant stuff...Date published: 2018-01-27
