Wynns Hydraulic Valve Lifter 350ml is rated out of 5 by 32.Rated 5 out of 5 by Twinky from AMAZING Best treatment I have ever brought stopped the noisy tappers of my E53 3.0D BMW X5 within 3 miles, put it in a warm engineDate published: 2017-06-28Rated 5 out of 5 by BMH1138 from Fixed noisy BMW lifters immediately. I'm pretty sceptical when it comes to products like this, but it worked wonders in my 2002 BMW 3 Series (E46 with M54 engine). My lifters were getting louder and louder to the point of complete embarrassment. I'd already tried thicker oil (Castrol Edge 0w40) which only solved it for a week or two. Added Wynn's when the engine was warm, and noticed a difference the next morning after a high-rev run. The fluid had cleared any deposits from the lifters, and my car is quieter than it's ever been. It's worth noting that the packaging seems to have changed to a blue can. Also worth noting that this is a temporary fix, and eventually you will need to replace your lifters or look into a new chain tensioner, which will help oil reach all of the lifters in your top end.Date published: 2017-06-15Rated 5 out of 5 by Pers from can't believe it works!! I have a Mitsubishi 3.0 v6 which for some reason developed a hydraulic lifter noise when engine first reaches operating temperature . The lifter noise would appear just after the first 10 mins of the engine running and the noise would stay for about 3 to 5 mins.. it was very annoying as the noise is pronounced and you can tell that a few lifters were not pressurising..it was rattling!! so i told myself " i will now need to replace all 24 of them now" however; having read the reviews of this product i told my self what's a few quid to loose? i added this product in a warm engine and IT DID WORK!! First time!! I was really surprised! I dont know how but it did work!Date published: 2017-03-23Rated 5 out of 5 by RodEK from Great product The HLA's on my 1990 Eunos (MX5) were very noise even after an oil change. Not surprising after 135,000K. After a single treatment with this Wynn's product they are now virtually silent. Well worth the money.Date published: 2016-09-06Rated 5 out of 5 by GSXR1000Stu from It takes time people!! I have a Porsche Boxster S which was suffering from a noisy tappet on tickover. I put this stuff in 2 - 3 weeks ago and the noise is pretty much gone altogether. Please bear in mind this is not a miracle cure that will work instantly. It takes a lot of miles for this to try to break down the depositsDate published: 2016-07-20Rated 1 out of 5 by Johnnytheboy from Useless No change in my hydronic lifters noise before treatment and exactly the same after usedDate published: 2016-05-22Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Definite improvement. But not a miracle cure Used this on my 03' Golf Match 1.4 Went for a 50 mile motorway drive and there is a improvement but still ticking. Not very expensive so would recommend you give it try and see what happens. Engine runs smoother and more quietly. But no miracle cure.Date published: 2015-10-26Rated 5 out of 5 by markynew from cheap solution to misfire caused by dticking valve my engine warning light kept coming on and car was lumpy at idle speed so I plugged my OBD 11 scanner in and fault code was for misfire cylinder 1 but only at tick over I had used EGR valve cleaner which helped a little but fault continued so I ordered a compression tester thinking valves or maybe a piston ring were to blame then I saw a video on youtube about sticking valves being gummed up so looked for a cleaning product and found this stuff , I followed the instructions and yippee car ticking over like a swiss watch , great value. 10/10 (compression tester will be a nice addition to my tools)Date published: 2015-09-14
