Halfords Bike it Low Note Motorcycle Horn is rated out of 5 by 7.Rated 5 out of 5 by me1959 from Far better than expected My horn was becoming unreliable, it would work when I checked it but under scrutiny it wouldn't. I very seldom use it whilst riding, so didn't realise it was failing. Needed one in a hurry, was going to go for a cheap and cheerful online to tide me over and fully expected this was a premium version of one. Well I was wrong, it is really a premium version at a very good price. Took about 5 minutes to fit and is louder than my oem when it worked.Date published: 2018-05-21Rated 3 out of 5 by Gambalunga from Low Note it's not, but cheap and available it is I needed a new horn for the MOT, needed it quick, and never thought of Halfords until Google suggested it. Of course I chose the so-called 'low note', imagining it might sound a bit like an old Rover. It doesn't. The sound is much more beep than toot but it does the job. Can't imagine what the 'high note' sounds like... Like my fitment, it has twin terminal wiring, so it was a very easy fit. If yours has only a single terminal, you'll need to make up a lead to take the second onto the frame. Not a big deal if you have a shed full of stuff to do it with, but if the horn was really universal, they could have included a terminated wire in the kit. The mounting bracket is zinc plated steel and looked really flimsy. On my ancient vibratory single it would have broken in no time, so I reused the laminated bracket off my original horn.Date published: 2016-06-09Rated 5 out of 5 by Worthy67 from Motorcycle horn Great value for money got my bike through its MOT Never knew Halfords sold motobike stuff.Date published: 2015-07-16Rated 4 out of 5 by GSX600F from Car yes, bike? Not so sure I fitted this horn to my bike the day before yesterday as my original had broken. I was expecting great things going by the reviews and as I was heading up the M6 yesterday, I knew I would need it at some point! Cue the Skoda pulling out on me with a foot of space between his bumbler and my front wheel! I pushed my thumb on the horn and ........ Well, let's just say I was extremely underwhelmed! What a pathetic noise! Bikers if anyone NEED a good loud horn and needless to say, this isn't it. Round town it would be fine but 95db? I'm not sure.Date published: 2015-01-30Rated 4 out of 5 by Pixie77 from Bike horn I ordered this to replace the broken horn on my bike, reserved it on line and collected in store, the horn is easy to connect to bike and good value for money. Dose the job well.Date published: 2014-08-08Rated 5 out of 5 by tehtoymachine from Really Pleased! Definitely the horn to buy if you want rid the the "neep-neep" sound, and to to have more of an aggressive presence on the road! Fitted to a derbi gpr 50 (Same as an Aprillia RS50) and the horn is much louder and deeper than standard, was surprised by how loud it was! The horn was slightly larger than standard which meant it required repositioning to avoid it touching anything because the horn sounds like it has a sore throat if it does touch!! Overall very pleased with the product would definitely buy again/recommend.Date published: 2014-07-06Rated 4 out of 5 by SamNG41 from Good Enough This horn is ideal if you want to replace the standard "neep, neep" style horns that most bikes seem to come with these days. This horn is smaller in diameter than my original but slightly deeper. It was easy to fit and uses the same connectors (male spade connectors) as my original horn so basically just required plugging in! It is quite a low pitch but still a bit dull sounding so I can't see it having anymore of an impact than the original horn did on drivers pulling out on you, cutting you up, etc. but, for me, the low pitch alone made the purchase worth while.Date published: 2013-09-30
