Rated 2 out of 5 by 26 reviewers.Rated 1 out of 5 by Debert2017294igk Made it worse!!! I never review things but i feel so disappointed at this. Having read the numerous negative reviews on this product, I naively decided to go against them as there was no alternative and try this. Followed the instructions carefully and came to the conclusion that this stuff is absolute waste of time. My review of this would be to say simply don't not waste your money as this stuff is totally useless. The template is a joke - it's a flimsy bit of paper that isn't self sticking. I applied liberable amounts of it and only I can see it and that it's worse I wouldn't even know it's done. 27 July 2016Rated 1 out of 5 by TomfromExeter High resistance This product has a high electrical resistance. For example, a 2 cm line the same thickness as a HRW track is 6 ohms and a line just under 1 cm is over 3 ohms. Compared to the entire HRW grid on my car (an MGB), which ought to have a total resistance of about 1 ohm, that's colossal. It seems the product may be ok for repairing a couple of small breaks, but more extensive repairs will increase the overall resistance of the grid so much that it does not pass a decent current. 08 May 2016Rated 1 out of 5 by SamMD Simply does not work, 0/12 lines worked :( I read all the negative reviews prior to buying this, but got it anyway as it is the only option for repairing de-misters other than replacing the tailgate! I followed the instructions, and the additional instructions that another reviewer has helpfully left on here but alas, it simply did not work at all. I had to repair 12 demister lines on my rear window and only just had enough of the substance to do it. Warmed it up, left it for the correct time etc. and tried it out a few days later and it had NO effect whatsoever, not one of the lines worked after using this. The substance that is used to repair the lines is very thick, and more like a thick putty so is very difficult to apply neatly. The brush is useless with such a thick substance, i just used my finger. ADVICE: It seems a couple of people have had some success, but out of 12 attempts, i had none :( So i guess if you're feeling lucky give it a go, but you may need to accept the fact that you're about to waste £12! 16 April 2016Rated 3 out of 5 by TomofExeter Unhelpful instructions but don't give up This product works but the manufacturer's instructions are somewhat unhelpful. After several attempts I got a good connection by: 1) Locating the break in the heater grid with a multimeter (set to continuity buzzer). 2) Marking the location of break on the glass with a felt tip. 3) Thoroughly cleaning the area with contact cleaner and a scrap of green Scotchbrite pad to remove years of grime until I could see clean metal either side of the break (a 10x magnifier and a torch may be useful). 4) Drying the area with a heat gun. 5) Masking the break top and bottom with tape (the supplied mask is useless). 6) Thoroughly shaking the bottle and painting over the break, overlapping onto the clean metal either side (contrary to the instructions which tell you to aim for the gap only). 7) Reshaking the bottle and applying second coat after 20 mins (as per instructions). 8) Peeling off the masking tape a few mins after applying the second coat. 9) Allowing to dry overnight. 30 March 2016Rated 1 out of 5 by Lr76 Waste of time and money! Followed the instructions and all it did was waste my time! The template is useless! It makes a right mess with that fluid and the brush is far to big, needs to be a much finer tip. So all in all a waste of £12! Would of been better to get the windscreen replaced which is what im going to do 27 March 2016Rated 1 out of 5 by teddly Don't bother Didn't work at all and i am very skilled. Waste of time and money. Avoid. 14 March 2016Rated 1 out of 5 by Alyas Not working at all avoid avoid It doesn't do the job as showing on the package waist of money and time . It didn't do the job 10 December 2015Rated 1 out of 5 by Chalky4325 Waste of money Dont buy this. Looked at reviews and thought i'd take a chance. Tried putting it into liquid form by resting on heater vents but as soon as i tried to apply to rear window,it had went back to putty like substance. Waste of £11.40 02 December 2015
