Granville Rear Heater Repair is rated out of 5 by 32.Rated 1 out of 5 by Stanley13 from Difficult to use and apply. I’m afraid whilst in theory it seems a great product, in practice I could not apply very much of the “paint” before it set in the bottle and on the brush supplied, which was also bent. I returned the bottle which was exchanged for another and this did exactly the same thing.Date published: 2017-11-07Rated 1 out of 5 by Liam82 from Did not work I bought this product after first checking that the contents were not way out of date as some reviews had suggested. I used it as directed and it did not work. The brush applicator was splayed out, presumably from being in the box for so long. It was really hard to apply with any precision even with the cardboard guide.Date published: 2017-11-05Rated 1 out of 5 by TheRubberDuck from This product would be good if it wasen't stuck in the store for years! So as everyone knows due to the age of your car your rear demister could end up needing a little repair saw this product on Halfords website reserved the product and collected it, when I was given the product it was in a rather tired looking box, held together with cello tape that had aged (turned very yellowy) opened the product's cardboard in store only to find that the paint type solution inside the product which should be a liquid was completely solid and unusable yet Halfords still had the darn thing on sell, returned it got full refund and bought a better kit off an online auction website (You guys know the one!) for the same price and it worked a treat, personally the one I received should of been sent back to the manufacture years ago or disposed of years agoDate published: 2017-02-23Rated 3 out of 5 by Steve986 from Rear heater repair kit A good value product to cure a common fault. I would suggest not using the supplied brush applicator, but instead a small fine bladed screwdriver which gives a much neater result.Date published: 2017-01-20Rated 4 out of 5 by Wibbles from Don't give up I bought this had 6 long breaks in the strip. The first bottle I got wouldn't mix as had lost its solvents. So I simply rang the supplier and the posted a new bottle next day and explained that it would be a old batch and loses all the chemicals. Sacked the team. Plate off and just masked the area.Date published: 2017-01-04Rated 5 out of 5 by Gaz1878 from Works great Check its not dried up before you leave the store, tried 4 bottles and 3 stores before i found a usable bottle but once i had a good one it worked a treat, just gave it 2 coats and it, repaired my heated rear window and aerial built in to it, saved me the cost of a new windowDate published: 2016-11-01Rated 1 out of 5 by Debert2017294igk from Made it worse!!! I never review things but i feel so disappointed at this. Having read the numerous negative reviews on this product, I naively decided to go against them as there was no alternative and try this. Followed the instructions carefully and came to the conclusion that this stuff is absolute waste of time. My review of this would be to say simply don't not waste your money as this stuff is totally useless. The template is a joke - it's a flimsy bit of paper that isn't self sticking. I applied liberable amounts of it and only I can see it and that it's worse I wouldn't even know it's done.Date published: 2016-07-27Rated 1 out of 5 by TomfromExeter from High resistance This product has a high electrical resistance. For example, a 2 cm line the same thickness as a HRW track is 6 ohms and a line just under 1 cm is over 3 ohms. Compared to the entire HRW grid on my car (an MGB), which ought to have a total resistance of about 1 ohm, that's colossal. It seems the product may be ok for repairing a couple of small breaks, but more extensive repairs will increase the overall resistance of the grid so much that it does not pass a decent current.Date published: 2016-05-08
