Rated 5 out of 5 by from Headlight Restore Used this to remove the yellow film that had built up on my Golf Mk5. Headlamps. They had detreated quite badly but with a little elbow grease and successive applications of this compound they came up like new.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No better than toothpaste This is just very safe basic rubbing compound that is only useful for removing the finest layer of overspray or a very light scratch, pretty much what you can do with toothpaste. For more elaborate work such as restoring colour and removing oxidation, you need an orbital polisher at the mininum, don't let the hand symbol on the bottle fool you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dry patches on my Cadillac's wing You need rubbing compound they said, read all previous reviews so thought I'd give it a whirl. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! a no nonsense product that does exactly what it says saved my Cadillac's wing from needing another coat as the dry patches were only noticeable once the paintwork had cured

Rated 5 out of 5 by from blooming issues resolved! Got this based on other reviewers and very happy. After re-spray with cans and lacquer, the lacquer bloomed and look awful. Used this and repolished and looks like new...word of caution, clean part well, use on very damp cloth, rub gently - and evenly. You can feel the course nature of the product so a bit like liquid wet/dry paper. You get loads for the price.. RP

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked Brilliantly A much finer grain of Compound than others so i had to use a little more than recommended and press on slightly harder. perfect for softer paint finishes (Newly sprayed or Vauxhall paint!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just magic Just lately I seem to get bounced into every hedgerow in every country lane. The car comes out very scratched down the n/s which could break your heart except I have this compound to resolve the situation. I am astonished how little elbow grease is needed and just how effective it is. To get a perfect finish ensure you use a high quality polish on the whole panel you have repaired so that you get an even finish in any light

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't bother comparing - this is the one you need You can tell how good this stuff is, there's not a negative comment in the reviews. My car is metallic black and in first class condition, I don't know what it was some jealous steward of a bar threw on it, but after washing and drying it looked like one of those 'splats' you see on girlie cars, right on my bonnet too. I tried the G3 scratch remover and it didn't do a thing, I was bum twitching on a £300 bonnet re-spray then remembered I'd picked this up one visit. Nothing to lose I gave it a shot - top gun decision, I couldn't believe how well it performed, mark totally gone and the bonnet looking like it WAS re-sprayed! For £4 a tube you'll be hard pressed to find ANY car product such value for money. TIP: Use a damp polishing sponge and pressure evenly, have plenty of clean rags for removal. 5*****
