Pure Highway 600 In Car Digital Radio Adapter with Handsfree Calling is rated out of 5 by 56.Rated 5 out of 5 by Rodws from A Great Little DAB Radio I bought this unit because we have a Pure DAB radio at home. I only use the DAB radio and telephone bluetooth facility but find the quality good, fitting easy and reception excellent. The device is rather small, meaning that pressing the buttons requires a little more consideration than using a normal car radio. I would certainly recommend this, especially having bought it for £109 from Halfords before ChristmasDate published: 2018-02-25Rated 2 out of 5 by Kernow42 from Good for Phone / Bluetooth, Terrible for DAB As I travel around a lot for work I thought it would be great to have a DAB radio as its usually easier to find and re tune to another station once you have left the previous stations range. This device was very easy to set up, taking no more than 10 to 15 minutes. Had no problems connecting the device to my phone and using it to play music. However using it to listen to DAB is a different story. I have travelled to Exeter, Bristol and Coventry and the DAB signal this picks up is very hit an miss, with radio very often cutting out and struggling to reconnect. I have also noticed the battery status on the controller seems to have a mind of its own, one moment saying I have low battery despite having brand new batteries and then the next time I turn it on the battery status shows as full. Overall its a great device if you want to listen to music from your phone via Bluetooth, and I would recommend it as a cheaper (and easier to set up) alternative to Parrot systems however I do NOT recommend it for listening to DAB Radio.Date published: 2018-02-13Rated 5 out of 5 by M1cr0bat from Good all rounder This was my second dab adapter after trying the cheaper nextbase. I returned that as the reception was poor and really not fit for purpose. I was slightly cynical when recommended this as it was more expensive. I guess you get what you pay for. Really happy with this, reception is as good as the inbuilt dab in the wife's car. Spotify, hands free Bluetooth all work well. Only gripe is buttons are a little fiddly if trying to tinker on the move but i suspect it will get easier after time and it feels a little plasticy for the cash. Firmware also updates via mobile if you use the app. Overall highly recommend worth the extra cash. Clear winner over cheaper competitorDate published: 2018-01-12Rated 1 out of 5 by Bangerdemon from Absolute rubbish Easy to fit, but the first time your windscreen mist's up, the antenna and receiver fall off and lose their stickiness. Reception around Plymouth, Devon is absolutely pants. If it doesn't drop the signal for five minutes, you are on a roll. Bluetooth hands free works well though, just works out being an expensive hands free system.Date published: 2018-01-09Rated 4 out of 5 by trickydicky61 from Quite pleased I have a Jag 2004 xtype and fitted this my self. took advise from other reviews and rubbed away paint to put aerial lead on bare metal. the device found 94 radio stations and they all work very well. BUT playing tracks from my iphone. there seems to be a crackling. I have changed the freq but cant clear it. Also there are not many spaces left on FM to get a clear signal to the radio .But in saying all that it works well and is easy to fit. for DAB its 5 star. playing from Iphone 4 Star.. making and receiving phone calls 5 Star. hope this helpsDate published: 2017-12-30Rated 5 out of 5 by Falconamf from I would recommend this product but not Halfords service Easy to fit, great to use clear, radio, music stream from my phone and great clear calls. Did not like the experience of service with Halfords very poorDate published: 2017-12-29Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from better than others! this DAB adapter was my second choice after having to return an alternative brand which was atrocious much like the service i received! this adapter is a good unit with decent sound and good quality microphone for the hands free. can store upto 20 favorite stations. the signal does drop from time to time but im aware this may be because of other chargers and electrical equipment in my van. all in all though happy with the unitDate published: 2017-12-02Rated 5 out of 5 by stormforcedesign from PURE Highway 600 I'm not a fan of having stuck-on devices in my old 2007 BMW 520d M Sport but the OEM alternatives are SO much more expensive and don't offer the features that this little unit does. Even the later OEM units have poor reception. So, after some research I came across this. It was very easy to fit - the aerial and DAB box attach to the windscreen, the wires tuck behind the roof trim above the windscreen and then tucked behind the A-pillar trim with a spatula. I purchased an extension USB male/female cable and a 3.5mm male/female cable from Amazon so that I could use the cigarette lighter and AUX-IN at the back of the centre console where the rear passengers sit. I removed the cigarette lighter and AUX-IN sockets from their surround and tucked them behind their panel. This leaves a couple of holes visible but they can't get knocked by the kids getting in and out of the car now. This all took about an hour. The unit worked immediately, the DAB signal was excellent. The wireless control unit can mount anywhere as it's battery powered. I mounted mine on the after-market bracket from where I'd had a car phone. I can stream music and audiobooks straight to the unit within seconds from my iPhone as I get into the car and it auto-pauses as soon as the ignition is cut. Siri works perfectly as does the hands-free. I do a lot of driving and having had lots of 10-year old BMWs over the years it's always been the radio reception that has let them down. What a great piece of kit - and I haven't even tried the Spotify feature yet!Date published: 2017-11-18
