    • Coyote Connect Folding Electric Bike is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 71.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Battery very poor The battery on this bike lasted two years. They should cost £375 to replace (75% of the cost of the bike!). There have been none available in the UK for three months. This appears to be a poor value battery that comes with a disposable bike...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very suited with bike for the money The bike is of good quality and build it’s what’s expected for a folding bike it’s not built for speed but there again if you needed that you would of gone for an appropriate bike to do so Overall I’m suitably impressed the electric power does its job in making the ride more pleasurable without breaking a sweat it’ll do me and my partner who is also pleased with her bike for leasurely bike rides and if we fancy a change fold them up put them in the car and cycle in a different location.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good buy for me and good value for money I ordered this bike on line and Halfords built it for me and allowed me to test drive it before I paid and commited to it. I loved it. I struggle with the hills and slopes in our area and they are a piece of cake with this bike. It was a good price and with being able to fold it up, if I did get to work and I was picked up, we can get the bike in the car! It is heavier than a normal bike when lifting it. They put the basket and lights I bought on for me ....but I think electric bikes should have built in lights connected though !

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, not great. Ok, so a lot of good points have been made in other reviews, and all good and bad points have pretty much been covered, but I'll throw my 2 cents in. Off the bat I should say I have a very good carbon road bike so I think that kind of jeopardises my view. I bought the Coyote because I hate leaving my Road bike anywhere as i like it so much and so never use it much. So my plan was to try out the Coyote then sell the road bike but now I'm in two minds. I'd go as far to say that the gears are pretty pathetic, and as soon as you reach the initial 15mph the motor gives you that's pretty much it. I must say that some of the other reviewers must be weightlifters, because this bike is so uncomfortably heavy and it is a major issue. Forget carrying this about much. The biggest issue which isn't a bad review point because it's a necessary evil has to be changing a rear puncture. It's an absolutely pointless task to even try and do it yourself. Just don't bother. Fold up the bike, get the bus or train and take it back to Halfords for them to do it. It's just not worth the hassle. All the other plus points are true. Unless you encounter some huge hills on your commute, you arrive at work feeling like you've been carried there. Literally zero effort. Big hills are a not great with it and if the battery runs out on a long ride then you're pretty stuffed. You can get a replacement battery on eBay on for 160quid with 4 months interest free from PayPal so that's worth considering. Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is ideal for our needs In the last few years I have hired an electric bike to try out the various new Greenways as they opened. I am 80+ and my wife a little younger. We decided to get a folding electric bike of our own. We browsed the web and on the bases of our needs, favourable reviews and reasonable price chose the "Coyote". We bought it on-line, unseen and untried and collected it at the Halfords Carrickmines, Dublin branch 4 days later. Folded, it fitted easily into the back of our 4x4. At home, it ascends our lane (42 m in 0.9 kilometres) on sections of up to 15 degrees effortlessly but I am unable to cycle up a 15 metre stretch in excess of 20 degrees. On holiday in Connemra, we managed all the ascents of the undulating side roads. Riding for 2-3 hours led to the loss of 1 green bar and needed about 2 hours recharging. Shortly after purchase the front wheel developed a slow puncture and the back wheel a slower puncture. Taking it back to Halfords, thanks to Colm, new inner tubes were fitted free in about 30 min and no further problems of any kind have developed since. This bike is strongly built, folds and rides easily. It is a pleasure to use. BandF.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not everyone’s cup of tea! But I like it I have had lots of bikes over the years, with a “let’s get myself fit” thought. I’m still overweight and unfit..... however, I really think it’s goin* to Work this time, and let me explain why.. I have a very dodgy ankle, with osteoarthritis in it, and can sometimes hardly walk. My daily commute, is only 2 miles each way, but coming home is all uphill. Previous bikes have included hybrids, road bikes and mountain bikes, all good going to work, not so good coming home... until now! This bike was bought to go in my camper so it had to fold, and be easy to ride. I now use it daily for commuting, as the uphill leg still needs some pedalling, but it is assisted, after the first week, I have reduced the level of assistance to medium, and lost weight, and feel fitter. The ONLY issue was when riding it for the first time, a bump in the road made the seat fall a couple of inches, I undid the clip, slightly tightened the “nut” and refsatened it bingo! Don’t hesitate to buy one, as I did. I wish I’d bought this in may, not October... enjoy it, I do

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good solid bike The bike offers a lot for the value it’s offered at. It won’t exceed 18 mph and it’s battery will only last about an hour. Also it doesn’t have any suspension which means that you can feel every bump. However, it makes cycling much more enjoyable and really powers up hills making the journeys much more relaxed. I use it for communiting through hilly main roads to work which is approximately 5 miles away and it works great for that. I don’t think it has much potential for casual bike rides and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it for anyone who has a bumpy commute.
