    • Elite Turbo Muin Smart Turbo Trainer

The Elite Turbo Muin Smart Turbo Trainer is a direct transmission home trainer with integrated fluid resistance and one-way smart technology. The perfect combination of realistic feel, interactivity with your favourite training apps and high power to motivate you to push your training to the next level.
Direct Drive - Remove your rear wheel & connect your bike directly to the trainer. Direct drive provides the most realistic experience by transmitting drive directly from the chain to the trainer. This also makes the trainer quieter than a conventional "wheel on" trainer. Turbo Muin Smart B+ includes a freehub compatible with Shimano 9/10/11 speed casettes (& other brands using the Shimano standard).

Shimano cassette required (or other brands that use the Shimano standard). Click here to see Halfords range of cassettes

Fluid Resistance - The 6kg internal flywheel spins in silicone oil providing a wide range of self adjusting resistance levels that gradually increase with speed, simulating the air resistance experienced on the road. Use higher gears for power based training up to 2,700 watts at 60km/h and lower gears for base level and rpm training. Fluid resistance is also incredibly smooth & quiet.
One way smart tech -  Modern training apps such as Zwift have revolutionised turbo training by making it an interactive experience. The Turbo Muin Smart B+ has an integrated Elite Misuro B+ sensor to provide wireless connectivity to your favourite apps via ANT+ & Bluetooth. Speed, cadence and estimated power data are transmitted making it easier than ever to monitor your performance and stay motivated through the winter months. PLUS - The Turbo Muin Smart B+ includes a 12 month subscription to the Elite My E-Training App,

    • Elite Turbo Muin Smart Turbo Trainer is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, close to silent, turbo trainer. I decided on this trainer as I live in a flat with wooden floors and therefore required one which is relatively quiet. After initially trying the Turbo Muin I found there to be quite a bit of vibration through and along the wooden floor. I sorted the problem by setting the trainer on to a bike mat and this has worked a treat as the vibrations have been almost completely eliminated. As for compatibility, it links to the myetraining app via on my android phone and iphone via bluetooth, however have been unable to connect via ant+ yet. All in all it is a quiet trainer with a decent amount of resistance. I certainly feel it on my legs whilst in the highest gears. The speed and cadence values which the app displays are easy to read from my phone and seem to be accurate enough. Well worth £290.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from first time smart trainer wasn't sure at first read a lot of reviews mixed ones at that but once i got it set up no regrets joined zwift my 3rd week now which is class weather has been brutal potholes everywhere after the snow and frost 10/10 ..when setting up get a 1 meter usb cable and a ant plus so you can set beside the sensor on trainer ,and when setting up use the watts and sensor on zwifts i chose a 6 week training coarse and really enjoying it

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Balanced trainer This is somewhere in between the trainer market, better than most roller based of the same value or less but not a fully Smart trainer. The best value you will find for a direct mount trainer offer Bluetooth connection for speed, cadence and power. This will mean home training sessions can be linked to Apps, which several free time limited offers come in the box with the instructions. Simple to set up and comes with a shimano free hub and spacer if required. Power output pretty accurate, possibly faltering in some cases but if using with a another unit you can use the settings to smooth out the power the distribution. Much quieter than my previous roller trainer which helps when listening to work out instructions or music.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great price Does all I need. Easy to set up and very quiet.Quite heavy as is to be expected. Does not have the feedback resistance control like some others but they are far more expensive. Needs a Shimano/Sram cassette as does not come supplied.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Elite trainer I bought the trainer based on the reviews which seemed ok But after buying it . I got home excited to try out my new turbo trainer . It worked great for about day after that it developed a large banging noise . Which only got louder and louder and louder . In the end I returned it to Halfords. They were great they did a refund straightaway and apologise profusely

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Halfords and Elite Turbo Muin Smart Turbo Trainer I went to Halfords to purchase the Elite Turbo Muin Smart Turbo Trainer which I had reserved online using the click and collect which was very convenient as it gave me peace of mind that when I arrived at the store in Liffey Valley that it would be there and not sold out. This is my second Elite Turbo Muin Smart Turbo Trainer in the space of a few months as my house was burgled and I had my first Elite Trainer stolen. My first experience of the Elite was a positive one so I had no hesitation in going for the same brand. The price at Halfords was excellent value for money. The product itself is a great piece of kit. It is very very quiet, I have a newborn so I was conscious of the noise pollution however the only thing you hear is the drivetrain and the change of gears. It is a good tool for building strength in your legs and I would recommend using the Trainer Road app rather than Elites app that comes with the product. With this purchase I actually got a discount for Trainer Road which gave me the first month free. There is also a discount for Sufferfest app also. With regards to the smart technology that comes with the Elite Turbo, there are a few minor glitches particularly with speed and cadence sensor. I'm not truly convinced it gives real world readings and some times the connection drops briefly but this is minor issue and Im sure in time Elite will upgrade there sensors for their turbos. Overall, it is a fantastic bit of kit and well worth the money. You certainly get a good workout without annoying your neighbours or waking your baby :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good trainer fairly quiet not as quiet as expected I bought this trainer purely for the high resistance training , and it is excellent at that very realistic feel , takes a bit of getting used to having to switch up a gear to make pedalling hard , It is fairly quiet for a trainer but not as quiet as advertised I get some vibration noise through my wooded floors , but no where near as much as as wheel on trainer . The wattage meter does fluctuate a lot when riding at a steady pace and reads a bit higher than it should but it gives you a rough idea on what you are doing . For £290 is ok but I think I would rather spend a bit more and get the the self adjusting version

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good trainer, questionable numbers. Good trainer, Direct drives are generally quieter than other trainers and this is no different. I don't use the smart aspect of the trainer as I've found it isn't very accurate when compared with my power-meter. This shouldn't be too much of an issue if you're just looking for performance trending but numbers do not relate to the real world and could potentially result in a ban if using zwift. there is, I believe a way to calibrate the trainer by adjusting internal belt tensions but this is both complicated and would require a power meter.
