Hi there according to what I have been told and learned the hard way, Acrylic can go over age hardened Cellulose but cellulose cannot be used over acrylic without some form of barrier coat product which must not be rubbed through! you may not seem to get a reaction at first but I have experienced Crazing and Cracking of the finished job. It took a complete strip to the beguining and bare metal before it could be remedied. Also allow at least 24 hours between primers and top coats plus lacquers or you could get blistering of the finish due to insufficient drying time and evaporation of the solvents.

Answer: 
Filler primer can be sprayed over acrylic or cellulose paint without any problems. I'm afraid there isn't a hard and fast rule on spraying cellulose paint over acrylic primers. Depending on the solvent blend used in the particular cellulose paint and their relative evaporation rates you can either get a reaction or not. Its also important that the acrylic primer is left to fully harden before applying the cellulose. I would recommend testing on a piece of scrap first. Best results can be achieved by applying a dry light coat of the cellulose first, allow
to harden, then apply the subsequent wet coats.

Approx 0.5m2 based on a two coats to full hide. Depending on application you may only require 1 coat, in which case it will be 1m2.

Yes all our Material Safety Data Sheets are available online. Please refer to our customer service page > Chemical Regulations and click the 'Halfords Health and Safety Information' Link.

On the page that opens Select 'PartCode' from the drop down menu and enter the item code of the product. Hit Search and the relevant MSDS will be returned for you to read.
