Looks like it came with the car!! This fascia surround unit is awesome - fits just right in my car which previously had a factory fitted stereo in it. The fascia allowed me to have a new cd stereo fitted by Halfords where I also purchased the stereo. Good value fascia, slick back design - you wouldn't know it hadn't been fitted when the car was made. Very professionally done. 14 December 2009

Is it needed?

I have purchased a second hand Peugeot 106 that came with a modern stereo player already fitted. (Goodmans GCE7107) and a fascia plate came with it. Can I use this same plate to fit a new stereo (Sendai CD789) into the car?

Answer: 
Yes the fascia adaptor should be ok, the head units should be the same size.
However the conneting adaptors may be different.
For more specialist information please contact your local Halfords store who can also advise you further and offer fitting.
