'If it seems to good to be true' I was quite excited to find a product to save me time and effort when a puncture occurs, possibly saving whole pain of removing tyre & submerging inner-tube onto a bowl of water. However product does not come will any visual instructions, although with a bit of comman sense is quite easy to use. (using metal fitting to unscrew inner valve inner first, before attaching tube attached to Tube Seal and squirting liquid contents into tyre which appeared quite runny) After pumping tyre up soon after and spinning wheel round to ensure Tube Seal liquid was evenly spread inside, tyre stayed inflated. I left bike overnight and rode bike the next morning ten minutes up the road to work - no problems. Unfortunately 8 hours later when returning home tyre was flat again. Now used traditional method of fixing puncture with patches & glue - took me half an hour but its fixed properly. 02 April 2011
Worth a go Bought two bottles as have a number of bikes. Good puncture protection to date. However, am unsure of second bottle as liquid seemed a lot thinner which may affect overall performance. Installation of fluid into tubes was easy although it was quite difficult to ensure only half went into each tube as once connected to the tube a vacuum forms resulting in the bottle needing to be disconnected from the tube a number of times to check levels. 07 July 2010

Great Product. After getting 3 punctures in 1 day on my rear wheel, I purchased some of this, so far no more punctures. I will use again. 08 June 2009

These are meant for Schrader valves only. However if you prefer Presta, there are inner tubes available at Halfords with self sealant already injected. Available as either Schrader or Presta.

Answer: 
The tube seal will only work with valves that have removal valve cores. It should therefore work with the vast majority of Schrader (Car Type) valves and also some specialist Presta Valves. However, it will not work with most Presta valves as they do not have removable cores.

I beleive it;s the same stuff in the bottle. But I doubt there'd be enough in a bike size bottle for a car tyre as they are much larger.

This type of sealant can not be used on road going vehicles, only off-road vehicles.
the Holts Tyre weld 300ml Cat. code: 182907 can be used in a similar way to repair tyres, but does not actively prevent punctures as slime type products do but can be used on road vehicles

I have a double airbed that has at least one leak. I don't have a water source big enough to identify where the leak is. Can I use this product to find the source and seal it? If not is there a better product?

Just brush soapy water over the airbed with a paintbrush. It may take a while but with patience you will find the leak.

The halfords tube seal is designed to work on bike tyres and is not suitable for air beds. to find the leak it may be possible to find it in a bath when the bed is partly inflated or find a bigger pool of water to immerse the bed in.

The halfords tube seal is designed for use on bikes.
This type of seal system can be used on larger tyres but is only recommended for off road use on motor vehicles - as the seal system is not a legal way to repair punctures for use on highway use - Thus the vehicle will not allow the vehicle to go through the MOT

Answer: 
Depends what type of valve your tyre/tube uses. If it's a shraeder type valve (as used on a car) you can unscrew the core using a valve core remover tool available at most car accessory stores including Halfords of course!

If you have a Woods type valve there will be a metal collar on the outside that unscrews, the core can then be pulled out. If you have a Presta valve it will have a small knurled nut on the top. As far as I am aware this type of valve cannot be taken apart and so you're out of luck!

Answer: 
There should be a valve core extractor build into the lid of the container. The valve core extractor can be pushed into the valve to lock onto the core, and then turn the core anti clockwise to remove the core.
To refit the core reverse the process. Valve core extractors are also available from halfords
