It cleans, polishes and protects your vehicles metalwork, reviving the shine and the appearance. Polish your woes away Autosol Metal Polish does what it states on the tube....It easily removed stubborn ground- in dirt and stains from my classic car, leaving the chrome shining like new. In my case it required a lot of rub-a-dub doo on the bumpers..but the result was well worth the effort. 20 April 2012
autosol,automatic choice,best on the market. this product is the best there is,no doubt about it,it does what its supposed to do with very little efort,but like anything the more you put in the more you get out of it,and with this stuff you dont need much,apply,in circular motion,you see the marks oxidisation etc lift out,leave to stand for a mo,and buff off using a nice halfords polishing cloth,for that extra special shine,autosol products really are great,even better when halfords do 2 for 1 offers,cheap at half the price. 19 April 2012

Hi, thanks for your interest in Halfords. There is no difference between 636217Autosol Metal Polish and 217257 Autosol Metal Polish. Thanks for the answer to my previous question - I got one more question (sorry abt this) - my stainless steel bolts/nuts are located within my lacquered alloy wheel.
Can I use this product on bolts/nuts safely, even when it's within lacquered wheel?

I have used it for years on all types of metals,inc chrome exhauts, on various motorcycles and never had a problem.
It is also ok on the stainless steel down pipes of my current Triumph.

My wheel's bolts/nuts seems to be rust and I look for a suitable cleaner that will clean these bolts/nuts up and shine those.

if your already got rust, you're too late. You might be lucky and the worst will come off using this polish, just keep on top of it and most people won't notice ;)

The Autosol Cleaner removes corrosion, tarnish, and discolouration from chrome, aluminium, stainless steel, brass and copper
Restores and polishes to a brilliant shine.
It depends how bad your bolts are as this may not be a powerfull enough cleaner.
