Clarks Universal Inner Brake Cable Works well and is easy to fit, I'd recommend purchasing some 'Cable End Covers' to cover the sharp cable after you've cut it to length. Also you'll save money if you order the items online from the store. 20 May 2012

Excellent All Round Cable Great price, was in stock, the quality is good, and best of all the cable has a different head on each end ... just snip off the end you don't need. Fixed the cable on my folding bike at a fraction of the usual price. 12 December 2011

Answer: 
Long enough to reach the back brake or gears. I had to trim quite a lot off when routing to the rear brakes.
Not sure if on a tandem though....!

Answer: 
The cable is long enough to replace the brake inner on all standard bikes. for use on tandem bikes longer cables are available. Please contact your local halfords store where longer cables can be ordered in.
