The Techno Cycling Mask Filter is for use with the Techno Face Mask. The Techno Face Mask is for motorcycling, urban cycling and city walking. Worth it if you commute daily. Having cycled into central London for years without a mask, I decided to give it a try. Prior to the mask I would sometimes end the ride with a slight irritation of the throat or chest. Within a few days of using the mask I noticed a big difference and feel less like I have been puffing on a diesel exhaust. It is worth trying one on first to check comfort as not everyone will find it comfortable to wear and getting the right size is important. The filters last about 6 weeks if used for an hour a day which is acceptable. The only niggles would be that there is slightly more condensation after a 40 minute ride than I would want and it leaves the inside damp. If you are *really* exerting yourself then it can be a bit restrictive and leave you short of breath! You need to get it seated correctly to avoid it working its way down your nose and needing periodic adjustment. Overall, I would say this is good for commuting with effective filtering that really makes a difference. However, it is probably not great for sports riding. 26 January 2012
