Use before fuelling I went to collect the product, on the way I filled the tank. Talking to the salesman at Halfords about using it, I said I was going to pour it straight into the tank. He read the instructions on the box which advised to pour into an empty tank. I therefore purchased another suitable product. 16 September 2010
Increased MPG pretty much from when i put it in my tank the computer was showing an increase in the cars mpg cannot fault this, if you have an older engine then get some and give it a clean 10 June 2010
useful product Easy to use and provides protection to injector nozzles. Should be added as part of standard sevice procedure for diesel engines. 03 May 2010

I have an X reg VW Lupo, at 120k miles. This product seems to have improved the fuel economy significantly. Haven't noticed any adverse effects.

Answer: 
Redex will be fine to use as long as instructions are followed and there is no damage to the engine currently. It should not be used to fix an engine problems.
