LED Upgrade The MAGlite 2 AA torch is beautifully made but not the brightest torch, the addition of the LED upgrade certainly improves the battery life and up close brightness but appears weaker when used at distance as it's not so focused. You also loose the "Candle mode" were you completely unscrew the top and stand the torch in it which gives a 360 degree light ... which is more than enough once you're used to the dark. Also being an LED there is no Dimming of the light to warn the batteries are going.. it just stops working which can be fun. 23 February 2012
