Better than it looks. you have to hold it in your hand to believe how well it is made. Only used it to clamp fuel hose when changing filter but on a diesel it makes a big difference. No more efing about with pliers. 11 May 2012

Better than it looks Being plastic I didn't think it could clamp down tight enough on my brake hoses, but the narrow jaws actually did the job very well indeed. 01 August 2009

Answer: 
Yes I did myself as I changed my Brake Fluid at the same time.
Whenever I change brakes front or rear I always bleed them afterwards just to make sure there is no air in the system.

Answer: 
If you only change the friction materials,
You will not need to use a clamp or bleed the brakes. If you change calipers or cylinders you must bleed the brakes afterwards.
