Good value and does the job This product was perfect for what I needed, I have a '94 Fiesta poverty model and just needed to fit a lighter to charge my phone and satnav. Easy to fit and works fine. Not amazing quality but very good for the price, have had no problems with it and would recommend. 12 December 2011

Rubbish Cheaply made and over priced, already blown a fuse and the light has broken off, it worked for 2 days, decided to get original part from Ford, buy cheap buy twice 10 March 2011
Not that good All I can say... It did the job, just about. The quality was poor and the inner part had to be glued to the outer to prevent the inner part coming out with what ever was plugged in to it.. I would go to the main dealer next time for this item... 18 September 2010
Perfect Bought this to go in a Ford Ka, although a little fiddly to get the wires hooked up due to the small space in the ashtray Once connected, worked perfectly (after I realised the fuse had also blown! - not due to this lighter I might add!) 14 January 2010
Value for money!! Ordered a part for my car on line. First time i have done this and picked my local store and item was waiting for me and assistant knew exactly what i was talking about and the purchase was made.... Painless and recommended!! 12 October 2009
Not as seen! When went to collect had to buy the fitting and the lighter insert separately making the whole product approx. £12 30 June 2009

I've bought this, and although it seems straightforward to fit I can't work out where the black wire coming out of the back of the light on the side is supposed to go! All of the other wires have connectors on the end & fit the existing connectors, it's just this one spare wire causing problems!

Answer: 
There are 2 spade connectors and 2 wires coming out the back.

The main spade connectors at the base are the positive and negative for the cigarette lighter itself and should be wired accordingly.

The black wire should be connected with the negative terminal on the cigarette lighter base or a suitable earth near the cigarette lighter.
The red wire should then be wired to a switched positive supply or wired to the positive side of the dashboard lighting control so that the bulb comes on with the main lighting.
There is normally one of these control wires near the rear of the stereo to piggyback from.
