Halfords Bright Spark Camping Gas Description

The Halfords Bright Spark Camping Gas canister has a non return valve fitted to it so when it's removed from the burner the gas doesn't escape (excellent safety feature especially for transportation).

great camping gas Brilliant gas cannisters. Went camping with two 1 stoves and these gas cannisters slot in so easily. Lasted 3 days where we cooked bacon and eggs in morning and boiled milk for ready brek and drank copious amounts of tea. Also cooked boil in bag rice, tinned curry and chilli and the normal sausages and beans. Lasted longer than 90 mins. I would say about 100mins. 05 September 2010

CAMPING GAS iT DID THE JOB BUT THANKFULLY WE HAD A FEW SPARE AS DURING THE NIGHT IT GETS A BIT COLD AND THE GAS BOTTLE DIDNT WORK IN THE MORNING . sO WE END UP CHANGING THEM AND KEEPING THE SPARE IN THE CAR IN CASE WE FORGET IN THE EVENING TO COVERT THEM . OUR FRIENDS HAD THE OTHER TAPE AND IT WAS MUCH MORE EASIER FOR THEM 17 August 2010

camping aswell as gas i bought the camping starter kit and camping kit all in all i am very pleased with every thing i bought found the gas very cheap and usable 13 July 2010
Length matters! These worked a treat but only with a wedge behind the can so the engager could actually push it far enough to let gas out. The original cartridges that came with the burner were a little longer. Otherwise great price 4 for 3 and one can last 4 day weekend. 23 June 2010

Answer: 
The CampinGaz Double Chef Grill cannot be used with Halfords Bright Spark Camping Gas but operates off Campingaz cylinders or other brands of butane and does require a Regulator 238311 sold separately and available from Halfords.

Just about to buy this stove and hoping to make use of the 3 for 4 deal. The stove says to use A4 gas canisters and though these look right this is not specified in the description.

Yes the Halfords Bright Spark Camping Gas is compatible. We would recommend using the cartridge with the Halfords portable gas stove (169121) which is a direct equivalent to the campingaz bistro.
