The Halfords Glass Hatch Anchor is suitable for glass edged, plastic or composite hatch backs, it will replace the metal upper hooks with secure plastic anchors. It is suitable for all Halfords Strap Mounted Cycle Carriers.

Just the job These little beauties did just what was required as there is too much glass on the Golf hatchback for the standard fittings that come with the bike rack. 19 September 2010
Should have bought these ages ago I have a high mount, 3 cycle carrier. I found that when travelling the side straps always came loose, i guess the wind stretched the straps slightly and the side clips dropped out. I have replaced them with these and drove 1000 miles last week and the rack never budged an inch. Rack as tight as when i fitted it. Cant recommend them enough! 08 June 2010
For glass or plastic hatches... ....this does exactly what you need. Easy to fit and prevents damage to the hatch. 23 May 2010

All Halfords rear cycle carriers are unsuitable for your 2006 Ford Focus C Max. We advise the use of either a roofmount carrier (which requires roofbars) or if your vehicle has a towbar, then this type of carrier is also suitable but please check the nose-weight of your vehicle.

Last time I used my high mount bike rack the hooks that attach to the body work on the side of the car wiggled loose with the movement of the car and I had to keep stopping to re-attach them. Do you stock any rubber pads which would enable the metal hooks to attach more securely or would these "dumbell" shaped ones be a suitable replacement?

The 'dumbell' shaped fixings will be suitable. Please ensure that the straps on your cycle carrier are straight from the panel to the buckle and that they are fully tightened.

We advise the use of either a roofmount carrier (which requires roofbars) or if your vehicle has a towbar, then this type of carrier is also suitable but please check the nose-weight of your vehicle.

rear cyle carrier

Id given up looking for a rear mounted cycle carrier for a Clio as I thought because of the glass and plastic edges that I would be unable to use one.
I came across this but am not quite sure what it is.
Am I right in thinking that I can now buy a carrier and convert it with this kit to use on the Clio(03)?
