The Halfords Cycle Carrier Lighting Board is a necessity when you are carrying a rear mounted cycle carrier and your rear lights are covered. The lighting board displays your rear lights, reflectors and also your number plate, and these are all items that are legally required to be on display.

It is convenient and easy to use, it can either plug into your existing lighting socket or alternatively it can be used with the Halfords wiring kit.

OK but needed some work Bought this for bike carrier use. Looked fined. When I first tried it, one brake light not working. Took out both bulbs and reinserted them - worked fine. Would have hoped this sort of thing was checked during manufacture. 23 July 2012

GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY After surfing the net for a light board to attach to rear of car when carrying two bikes I came across this board which was the best value by far and works well with nothing else to buy other than the number plate. Highly recommended. 30 January 2012

Simple and inexpensive You'll need a long strap or a rope to tie it on, but this lighting board does the job perfectly, and adds very little weight to the back of the car. 06 June 2011
Lighting Bar Value for money, but have my doubts abouy its quality and how long it will last, Mine arrived with a loose connection for one of the indicator bulbs, This was easy rectified a push on connector had come off. 27 May 2011

Pre-made sockets are not available on all cars, but should be on all cars after 2000. The location of this socket varies on all cars, as does the accessibility of the socket. You may need a Halfords Cycle Carrier Lighting Board Wiring Kit item code 910661. A full instruction manual for the Halfords Cycle Carrier Lighting Board Wiring Kit is supplied and if followed step by step, it should be reasonably straightforward to install.

Modern vehicles are harder to wire than older vehicles. However, the Halfords Cycle Carrier Lighting Board is compatable with this vehicle as long as you have access to the indicator and stop & tail wires. We would strongly advise visiting your local garage for wiring advise.

No fixings included. There are two holes so you use bungies with hooks to wrap round the board and rack/bikes
