Castrol Magnatec 10W40 A3 B4 Oil

Every time you start your car it takes most oils 10 minutes to work effectively, because the oil cannot protect properly until it reaches a critical temperature Castrol Magnatec 10W40 A3 B4 Oil is different as it gets to work straight away by virtue of a unique synthetic ester that clings to the engine like a magnet. It provides up to 4 times more protection than a conventional oil during the critical start and warm up period.

The performance oil My car requires only high quality oil, as 1 month ago i bought an average oil and put it in the engine and as i have an injection engine i could feel the pistons lacking ,,, however with this i put about 2 1/2 litres in and left da car for 20 mins, once started up from the first revs to my last i could feel the improvement from the average oil products. would highly recommend this. 20 February 2011

Hi is this suitable for a 52 Plate Renault Megane Scenic Fidji 1.6 16V Petrol?

My previous question wasn`t answered.

I have no service book but the Haynes Manual states Multigrade engine oil, viscosity range SAE 15W/40 to 15W/50, to ACEA A1 and A3.

This is suitable depending on your engine really. Check your oil cap. It should say something like 10W40 or 15W30 or somewhat. As long as the oil you buy matches the numbers on both sides of the W e.g 10W40, then it is suitable for your Car.

10w40 part synthetic oil is suitable for this vehicle and Halfords and Castrol both meet the ACEA specifications listed in the manual.

We would not know the exact properties of the Castrol magnatec oil but in general it can make the clutch slip.
Ideally its best to use the Castrol specific 10w-40 oil we have in store.
