Failed product Battery under review comes with 4 year warranty. Worked perfectly until last week when it failed to start car. Battery was approximately 2 years old. Testing showed it was unservicable. 04 September 2012
Excellent Service Bought this has a replacement for the failing incorrect one fitted by the RAC previously. So far so good. The one thing that stands out is the excellent service by the Huddersfield store, they did a drop test on the old one, and although inconclusive, fitted the new one (on my instructions) in the rain without a grumble. Sparking again Reserved the Halfords Calcium Battery, one which I had no expeience of previously, and it was waiting for me when I arrived at the branch the following day. The young fitter installed it in a couple of minutes and it started my car instantly although it had been standing for seven months due to my illness. It has continued to do so without any hesitation and I am very pleased with its performance. 08 May 2012
Good Purchase This battery does exactly what it says on the tin. As a replacement for a dying battery that would not hold a charge it is refreshing to be able to start up first time every time with much more power than my previous lead acid unit. This is probably due to the higher power ratings than my previous one had. The dimensions are exactly the same as my old battery which was important as it had to fit in a tight space in the boot of my car. The built in carrying handles are a good idea due to the weight of car batteries. I will wait to see how it performs during the cold winter mornings, and the 4 year guarantee is comforting to have. 09 April 2012

Good purchase Bought this battery to replace mine which had suddenly died on me. Order it online and picked it up a few hours later. Fitted it next day very easily and car started straight away and it's been fine ever since. 27 February 2011

Warranty Enquiry

Hi,
I bought a new HCB096 car battery about 3 years ago. It now does not have sufficient power to crank the vehicle. I don't have a receipt and was wondering if it was possible to check from the serial number if the item is still in warranty. The battery has bar code label 501025 372198 and an impressed serial number A 34664.

I have a calcium battery and I have a' Ring 8 Amp Smart Charger RSC8' and it charges and maintains the battery beautifully! It's a little bit expensive, but worth it.
